Kafka pulls through!! | Kaiju No.8 Episode 12 Reaction

We’ve reached the end of season 1 or Kaiju No.8 and this was a great finale to end on! Kafka really came through at the end there sacrificing himself for the general captain and in turn showing his humanity. He also proved what an asset he’ll be as part of the defence force. Thanks to that he gets to live and seeing everyone celebrate was so wholesome. Can’t wait to see what’s to come next!

Kikoru & Kafka's voice actors were so good in this episode, her calling out to him & Kafka trying hard not to cause her even more trauma.

I was really predicting (but I was wrong) that Kikoru would end up stepping into the arena to stand between her father and Kafka during this, and that would end up snapping Kafka out of his loss of control.
Did the video roll back and out of sync around 20:40? Anyway, Nice reaction. I am looking forward to the second season.

Yeah, I saw this too. Otakumai was talking about the chess game during a part when the anime was reshowing a different part.

Playing it back now I see the issue. It did roll back and go out of sync and thinking back I realised why that happened. Big mistake on my part. Ugh I can’t believe I messed the video up like this. I thought I’d edited it fine but I should’ve double checked. And I can’t try to fix it as I don’t have the original video anymore. I’m so sorry you guys 😭😭
