He's Losing Over $120,000 & Then Does THIS!!!!

The Lodge Card Club has become Brad Owen’s home turf since he bought a piece of it back in 2022. He was back in action on the high-stakes cash game stream, firing away on the turn drawing dead. His opponent was Taras, who had turned trips and looked likely to ruin the start of Brad’s session, but then something unbelievable happened!
When most of the flush draws and straight draws miss on the river, and you hold a strong bluff catcher (hands that don’t block your opponent from having had a draw on the flop or turn), you should call a vast majority of the time. However, if you know your opponent is weak-tight and not capable of bluffing then you can arguably find a fold.
Brad Owen is a WPT ambassador and co-owner of The Lodge Card Club in Texas, he is a very successful KZread poker vlogger with over 715,000 subscribers. His KZread channel has had over 172,000,000 views. Primarily a cash game player Brad has started playing more tournaments since the start of 2022. His lifetime total live tournament winnings are over $790,000. His biggest cash for $152,266 came in December 2023 when he came 7th in the $50,000 WPT Alpha8, during the WPT World Championship at the Wynn, Las Vegas.
Taras is an amateur poker player living in Texas. He has been a regular at The Lodge for a long time and will play stakes from $5/$10 up to $400/$800. He is known to be very talkative at the table.
In early 2022, poker professionals Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme joined forces to acquire a controlling stake in The Lodge Poker Club & Card Room, which happens to be the largest poker establishment in Austin, Texas. This exclusive poker club, accessible only to its members, boasts an impressive array of amenities, including over 80 poker tables of cash games and tournaments, operating around-the-clock. Additionally, The Lodge provides an inviting ambiance with 40 large-screen TVs, allowing poker club members to enjoy sports entertainment while playing poker or while relaxing in the cozy waiting area. The live poker stream includes commentary from Skull Mike and Slick Rick, who have been long-time regulars at The Lodge. They provide viewers with strategic insights, complemented by a perfect blend of humor.
The Lodge Live Stream has had a variety of different poker players coming to play on stream, these include; Doug Polk ‘WCGRider’, Alex Foxen, Dan Cates ‘Jungleman’, Ben Lamb, Bill Perkins, Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Nik Airball.
🔍 Pre-Flop Action:
With the blinds set at $200/$400, Taras opens from the button to $1,000 with 76o. Poker vlogger Brad Owen calls from the big blind with A5o, and they head to the flop.
💸 Flop - Js 6s 4c:
Brad misses the flop and checks with just an ace-high backdoor flush draw and backdoor straight draw. Taras, the preflop aggressor in the hand, continuation bets for $800 and gets check-raised by Brad to $2,000. Taras sticks around with second pair, and they head to the turn.
💣 Turn - 6c
A board-pairing 6 of clubs on the turn introduces a second flush draw. Brad didn’t pick up any pair or draw on the turn and is left drawing dead. However, he continues his story from the flop and bets $4,700. Taras calls with his trip sixes as they head to the river.
🌊 River - 3h:
The 3 of hearts on the river completes a few unlikely straights but leaves Brad with just ace-high. He knows the only way he can win this pot is by firing again, so he does just that and puts out a 75% pot-sized bet of $12,000. Taras still has trips on the river and also has a blocker to the straight. All he has to do is throw in the call to scoop the pot, but it looks like he may have other plans!
You must watch this entire poker video to see what Taras does! !
Jonathan Little analyzes live poker hands from TV poker shows such as Poker After Dark, Hustler Casino Live, The Lodge Poker Club & PokerGO. He also analyzes popular poker vloggers such as Rampage Poker, Brad Owen, Jaman Burton, Ashley Sleeth, Wolfgang Poker and others!

What is brad actually trying to represent here? It's a button raise from Taras so surely you would think Brad would three bet JJ preflop and I can't imagine a six would check raise that flop ESPECIALLY given you have one of them. The only thing I can think of is 44 or something like 57 of clubs that got there. 57 of spades would make sense but you're blocking the 7 of spades. If brad has a 6, he's most likely going to check the flop then lead the turn or try to check raise the turn. Probably thought brad is being backed and wouldn't come out the gates swinging after he lost 6 figures the day before.
