    That last hand makes no sense. I know I have hindsight bias, but the small bet for value? To get him to fold? That last bet did not help her out at all. Literally could only hurt. Four options 1: Negranu calls. She wins. You are telling me he would call with less than a 9 in his hand? 2: Negranu calls. He wins. Very likely to have above an 8 there. Or a secret full house (unlikely but not a possibility) 3: Negranu folds. You win. He may have been ahead, but hard to see him folding any face cards. So you are saying he has a nine ten, or maybe a jack? 4: Negranu raises you. Now you have to give him the chance to double up just to see if you were already gonna win (with mid odds) As opposed to: Just check. Either he already is beating you, and you keep him short stacked, or you beat him, devastating his stack. The raise makes no sense. Brilliant raise by Negranu. She pretty much gave away her hand with the raise.

He got to be just at the final table, but otherwise everybody was heads up starting even money, 10 players at one table. One guy was a loudmouth clown who crashed out immediately. Daniel put out the next 8 head to head no problem. 1 by 1. (ps. as dealer, I dealt pairs to 4 players and an Ace to another. everyone was all in the first hand. was pretty quick after that...)

    Because the board paired and the winning hand at that moment became 8(high)-K-K-9-9, daniel was basically playing the board with 3(high). In texas holdem poker you are making a combination of 5 cards. Sometimes, the best 5 cards are the ones on the board.

    @@Baset_ I'm confused, so in this ruleset, the flop hand actually matters? Meaning if the flop had a flush, fullhouse etc, and it beats the players hands the high card wins?

  • @Baset_

    @Baset_

    Ай бұрын

    @@GodsProdigee It can be a little complicated, but for this case with Negreanu yes. Because you use 5 cards to make your final hand in holdem, and the Kings and 9s take up 4 cards, so it comes down to high card. To make a flush, straight or full house you need all 5 cards, so if the board has that and its better than anyone elses hand, the high cards wouldn't come into it at the end and you'd split the pot.

  • @cuzza4321

    @cuzza4321

    Daniel Negreanu looks exactly like Alex Kamal from The Expanse. I knew I've seen this face somewhere already hahaha

    16:06 The fuck is my guy doing there? Relieving stress? Mashing the milk mallet? Also 18:43 - Negreanu knew what he said from that get go I believe. He just wanted to make him say "I want to fold" more than he needed to. What a demon with an angel mask.

    How do you poker read the opponent, if he has AA or something very strong like KK or even QQ?

    @@jerrycombs4077 something is not good enough, even if you read that other player has a good hand, if he has AA, it is auto fold, if KK depends on situation, and QQ is almost 50/50 for AK

    Are there any video compilations of Negreanu putting people on hands and just getting it completely wrong?
