Speaking as someone from Iowa, and having grown up in a small rural town in Iowa, I can say that it isn't so much that we don't like out of towners, it's that in these small towns everybody knows everybody, and our small rural towns are generally pretty peaceful, so when someone not from there is around we take notice and keep an eye out, it's part of how we protect ourselves, our families, and our neighbors, think of it as our neighborhood watch. Don't take it personal, Lamont, I doubt it was meant to be, it was probably his property or his neighbors.

I came from a small town like this and almost the same thing happened to me, the area even looks the same. A car stopped me and was full of guys, didn't speak English. I backed away from the car and just kept ignoring them. These guys kept trying to get me to get in the car. It's frightening to think the same thing could have happened to me. Be careful with those "farmers", they're liable to walk up on you with a shotgun if you get close to their fields or even in their fields. I don't know why the hell they weren't paying attention the day Molly was murdered, usually in small, rural towns like that, they watch like a hawk and if you're on their land or close to it, they'll nail your ass regardless of who you are or what you look like, again, same thing happened to me except I was running and had a walkman on my head.

I was about 16 in Denver. I worked 2nd shift 1 to 10. I had to take the city bus to & from work then walk about a mile to my apartment. I had a guy come in one rainy cold night & buy bolts of burlap. He said he was making a soundproof room for his band. He just gave me so much information without me asking or wanting a conversation. He was good-looking but just creepy. That night after work I walked to the bus station & a car stopped in the middle of a typical busy road. There wasn't much traffic that night because of the weather. He was in a dark car. I couldn't see his face & he asked me if I wanted a ride home. I told him no, he became more & more aggressive & wouldn't drive off. Fortunately, the bus pulled up just as he was starting to get out of his car. He jumped back in his car & sped off. It really creaped me out. I would also walk with headphones. After that, I would only cover one ear. I live in a small town now & have earbuds & if I go out, I only use one bud. I love to go walk, but my area has a lot of aggressive stray dogs. Another scary thing that happened to me is my name is Naomi & about a month before Naomi Irion was abducted from Walmart. I was looking at dog treats in walmart & this guy came up behind me & put his arm around my neck. I was shocked he had me pinned between the shelves & a display. I tried to pull away, but he was strong. He finally let go & said, I always get that reaction & sped off. I realized he only let go of me because a walmart employee walked into the aisle. He witnessed what happened & said he would alert security. I asked if we needed to call LE, but he said the security team would take care of it. My husband is usually with me but he wasn't feeling good & stayed in the car. I blew it off & put it in the back of my mind as just a weird encounter. Then, to hear about what happened to Naomi Irion a few weeks or a month later, my heart just broke. I was in Lamar Colorado & it wasn't the same guy, but I wonder what the man who violated my space & actually grabbed me intentions were. He mentioned he gets that reaction all of the time. Is he building up courage & practicing to do something worse. I kick myself for not demanding to have LE called & file a report. I guess I just blew it off & trusted walmart security. Hindsight is always 20/20. It's on my mind a lot & I feel bad for not calling the police. I live in such a rural area we have to drive almost 3 hours to go to Wal-Mart & my husband was sick , we had our dog with us & I was in a hurry but I should've taken the time to report. I just hope there is not some creep getting the courage & practice in to do something wose. I think society is getting worse. Both men & women are violent & doing some unimaginable acts. It's always wise to couple up when going out. I also don't want to be paranoid looking over my shoulder all the time & know there are really good people out there. I'm happy to know you made it out safely from your harassment. Have a good day & I hope you or anyone else men or women never find themselves in potentially life-threatening situations. My heart goes out to Naomi Irion & her family.

I thought the police officer was nice to you. Keep in mind that that farmland is private property so don't be offended when someone is watching you or calls the authorities. You are trespassing. My family has a farm and there are people who will try to ride around on the farmland destroying crops and equipment just for fun. Recently my husband was talking to me on the phone and a lady drove up with her child asking if she could watch the moon rise. My brother has to keep watch day and night and if he sees something suspicious, he is calling the sheriff department and then go handle things himself. My husband was walking around on some farmland in Virginia last year and saw someone watching him. He didn't get pissed off about it, He completely understood it and went over to the man and talked to him. I thought you were a little rude to that police officer. He's just doing his job. Every country needs a controlled and protected border and even if strong and organized borders can't always stop a POS like this murderer (and most likely rapist) it acts to preserve our sovereignty. Race had nothing to do with it. The problem is he's here illegally. Being aware of a crisis such as what's going on at our southern border doesn't inherently make someone "racist", that being said, she was a kid that clearly didn't have the entire picture. The X number of people that come here for work & to build a life, legally, far outweighs the ones coming to do harm, Mexico is poorly managed, that's why people leave but the harm the drugs, laced drugs & violent crime do surpasses the positive effect legal immigration has. Most people would have a similar reaction if Canadians were coming here illegally to harm us directly or indirectly. Race doesn't matter, your conduct does.

As a former 911 Operator I can tell you it's true that there is no such thing as a "routine stop" and a domestic V call is the most unpredictable. Yet when you're approached by an Officer you're short, curt and rude. Not getting the disconnect there.

I thought you were a bit rude with the police officer who was just responding to a call and being very polite with you. For future reference, saying anything about stabbing or shooting or any such language (even jokingly) to a cop is not a good idea. They walk into calls for service not knowing what they’re about to encounter. He was probably anticipating that you could be armed and/or pose some sort of threat, so to talk about someone stabbing someone is pretty dumb. Never mind the fact that cops don’t even carry knives. 🙄 They carry guns, pepper spray, a baton, and (sometimes) a taser. Btw, I am from Texas and lived temporally in Iowa in 2017. Iowans we’re the NICEST people I’ve ever met. Iowa also has an excellent educational system, so Iowans in general are pretty well-spoken and knowledgeable. You should go back sometime and stay for a little while. Iowa is also a gorgeous state, as I hope you got to see.

Breanna is still home with us but has mild autism so we help her with everyday life. Noah also has mild autism and ADHD so we're doing the same with him. Hannah helps them along with us. Our family has always been tight and I pray it stays that way ❤️🙏 I know we cant always have them under our wings but we pray they always stay safe especially when we're not with them.

My youngest has Autism. He's 19. We keep him under our wing. We are fortunate that the next brother in age up from him will be taking him in when we're gone. He has non verbal Autism. He knows basic sentences, he reads at a high school level. Can't do numbers, but is a computer Whiz. If you ever get stuck or the computer goes down, he knows how to fix it. He won't let you watch him, but he'll fix the problem, lol! He's funny, smart and has his talents. I wish you well with your young ones! ❤❤❤❤❤

Molly's murder was a tragedy, but let's not canonize her. Her anti-white tweets don't show her to be of decent character, although her crazy father may have played a role in that.

There was no reason to be disrespectful to that officer. He was being very polite to you just doing his job after some male karen called in. It's not his fault he has to go out there to converse with you because some idiot called in over nothing. All he did was ask you questions they have to do & he even understood why you where there & tried to just be respectful to you.
