There is a lot to unpack with Monte and his life here in the Philippines, pretty remarkable story of perseverance and devotion. Being an OT myself and familiar with CVA's, Monte has definitely worked hard to get to where he is now, and definitely has the right mindset to overcome barriers and accept the changes. And needless to say, he found himself an incredible spouse who supports him through thick and thin. Hard to find that nowadays. Check out his KZread channel for more of his story and life here in the Philippines kzread.info/dron/cxJQGHUnWzZywBlD3CVNcQ.html

I also met my wife when she was 18 and I was 59. Stayed with her 1 week, then a month later we stayed together for 1 month. Then 4 months later she came to Australia while pregnant and has stayed the last 7 years. I had major surgery for Liver cancer when we had 2 kids and she was pregnant with our third child. She took care of us all without complaining. Now I am a retired father taking care of our 3 children while my wife is studying to be a nurse (6 months to go) and she also works part time to support the family.

Sadly NOT ALL Filipinos and Filipinas are that way! My ex MIL is Filipino from the Philippines. She & her husband moved to Alaska for a few years then settled in Honolulu HI in the 70s maybe late 60s. Anyway, they worked there a$$e$ off! Rain or shine sick and all they worked worked worked! Im a part Hawaiian/Asian Local girl born n raised here in HI and to me it was a bit MUCH! I just didnt see where they’d find the time to ENJOY anything! Just LIFE! U know? Anyway, long story short. They had 5 children the youngest son is my ex (father of my sons) they absolutely LOVED their father. He was a very hard working man and a loving one at that! The mom was a hard working woman but she cracked the whip! NONE of her kids help her with almost anything. The father passed away many years ago from cancer, but she had to do ALOT of things on her own as none had there own lives and just didn’t help her. It’s very sad how they treated her and still do today. Yes they love her, however idk if they will “take care of her” when she’s unable to care for herself. All they want is what they can get from her after she passes. Im afraid it’ll be a real shit show when that happens. So my 2 cents is this. Not all Filipinos are the same. Don’t label a gender or a nationality. Unconditional love is found EVERYWHERE and all over the world.

I am a Filipina . I married to a Filipino man , also . We separated ways when he went abroad as a seaman. That is how he changes his character and everything . He becomes bad. He becomes more a cheater. Then that is how my life becomes so miserable. Sometimes our own ambitions will only kill us and that is if we have more money. Money changes everything . So , be it, if we married our own race and color or we married a foreigner , i can conclude that it is the man who is the culprit of everything because he carries the decisions to leave his family. .We didnt discussed anything because he refused to talk to me. When he went abroad again , he didn't go home to us anymore. We have two children.I carry the burden. Unluckily for me , i choose the wrong man...Until now , i dont have the desire to have another man in my life.He left me when i was 35 years old. I am now 62 . Life is pretty tough though but we survived against all the sufferings with my 2 children. So , it doesnt matter whom you marry . But for me i blamed it all to my husband' s fault. We don' t communicate well during our marriage . Because he thinks he is always right and he didn't give me a chance to settle our marriage and voice out my own side. It was very unfair. Money rules, maybe because he earned much than me. Thank you for reading my old sentiments. I already moved on .

Sorry to hear of your bad experience and having to raise 2 kids single handedly on your own. This is what happen when men are given free reign or having some spare changes while their wife work and toil to support the family. As a divorced woman who raised a daughter. I married a man 14 years older than ,myself. He was rich, I was a young struggling acto/writer. I thought I was in love with him. He was abusive, cheap and mean. Without discussing it with me, right after I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, he had a vasectomy, thus denying my child of full siblings (he had one grown older son) and a woman of 25 more children. A few months after giving birth he hit me hard on the mouth. He was an evil man who plotted and did end up destroying my life. It was a long time ago. You cant carry around hatred and disappointment. You just find little pleasures and are thankful for small joys. I have so much and yet old and poor....I send you love and a soothing balm for your heart aches and disappointent....Please lovely lady...let it go....let God, love and laughter in....remember if you have a roof over your head, a meal to eat and one good meal to enjoy....you are rich....and it doesnt hurt to have a companion like a dog or cat....they will love you always unconditionally....go save and animal....the life you save may be your own.

So, you're saying you've been unfaithful to your wife? There must've been a reason why you picked a Filipino woman to marry as that culture pretty much raise faithful women to be good faithful wives. That seems very manipulative and cruel to the person who loves and trust you. If you are cheating on her, I pray to God she finds out so she can get herself out of a one-sided and abusive marriage because you're just using her plain and simple. Karma will get you.

That's why I love Monte, he's just plain honest. He admits that he did everything wrong and knows that he's lucky as the year is long. Knowing the long version of his story (from his channel and other interviews he's done) really shows how lucky he got. Could another guy get as lucky, maybe but I wouldn't bet my farm on it. The quality of character of his wife is a true gem. She stayed with him during his major health issues, current health issues and money worries from when Monte had his business arrangements (US business income) hit a rough patch. But when you see them together as a family it all just connects, and it's easy to see they love each other. I wish Monte and family all the best both now and many years to come. Stay blessed my friend, as it's easy to see that even though life has dealt you a tough hand, you still have a true Ace of a wife that comes through regardless of the circumstances. 👍👍

Everyone can have am opinion sure but once they legally become "consenting adults" then it's up to them. Also just as you said his child can get his SS for 18 years. That alone brings up the quality of life substantially from a regular person on the street. You talk about college, but it's just as possible college wasn't an option for her in the first place. You are making a lot of assumptions based upon a western mindset, and your assuming capability when it's possible her options weren't that broad. Even if his life comes to a close a woman with her quality of character is in demand, and their KZread videos act as a testament to the quality of her character as well. Most men would give their right kidney to have a woman so dedicated even if she was a widow with a child. Her future isn't even close to as bleak as you assume. She's got a path to income through their KZread channel and there could even be more things Monte has put in place to make sure her and her child are taken care of, we just don't know. Don't make the mistake of thinking that all Filipinas are like that! If I had been in his condition, my ex-Filipina-wife would have dumped me with a caregiver while painting the town with other guys using my money. I'm pretty sure of that. All of his wife ( at the beginning of their marriage) relatives and friends are borrowing money left and center without paying because they all think that all foreigners has unlimited money to giveaway. If you don’t give, they can call every names they want. Parents and siblings thought that they’re entitled to everything their sister has😅. Anyway, great fun friendly culture, until you stop handing out free money. So, be cautious , be careful! It’s ok to be kind, but don’t overdo it.

Peoud to be a Filipina with the right moral values. Love cannot be bought with money. A good friend, wife, husband or family friend will stay with you whether you are sick, poor or down. That is how you know how good or evil a person is. They do good things for others for charity.

I still don't believe that money doesn't count. If this same man had no money, probably was living on the streets, do you think she will still love him or even look at him? Common people, they still love them because of his money,

@@phil-amvlogsi8359 That's what happens if you grow up with that kind of culture. You think it's normal to leave your elderly and sick relatives in homes and hospices. It is very common in our culture to take care of a spouse during illnesses. My grandfather had a stroke ang my granma took care of him. When my grandma was terminally sick, my aunt took care of her. Now we take care of our elderly aunts whenever they get sick. He is attracted to her because she is young and probably sexy and pretty, she is attracted to him because he can provide and lead a family. Do you expect a guy can be both ugly and irresponsible and get the perfect girl who would take care of him? LOL. What a mindset. Of course there is a trade off, girls would also want to feel secure.

i do all the same for my husband. Hes 89 im 62 and neither of us look our age. He still golfs and i love him as much today as i did when i married him 7 yearsgo.. My husband early was hospilized for 2 weeks and came home and i looked after him with all my heart and i wouldnt have it any other way. Hes on oxygen now but ill be by his side forever. Im told that i am a very rare young lady and everyone sees how i adore and love him. We are not rich and less than comphy but we go on holidays 3 weeks out of the year and he treats me like a flower. Its a shame men feel that they have to go abroad especially men from USA but i really do get it. Love is very hard to find these day and its a rare gift and one to be blessed with. Even today people say what gorious couple, weve been give a state of grace and even if we didnt we love each other from the inside out and thats all the heart ever needs.

Monty, 11yrs ago I found out I had had 12 strokes. I had 10 minutes of mobility ability at that time. Here 11 yrs later I can work up to 2 hrs with breaks and the improvements I take as a blessing. I'm your age and feel confident that with time you will only improve more and more my friend. Take care and Salamat Chad for the sit down. Amping!
