HE LIVES! Vin Diesel Is Back in the Saddle Again - John Deere 332 Diesel Repair

With the help of the mytractorforum.com community, my grandfather, Robert N. Pripps, and my buddy Josh Matthews, I was able to debug and fix my 1990 John Deere 332 who I've named "Vin Diesel". Why did I name it that, you may ask. Because it has a 3 cylinder DIESEL engine in it.

I have a 332 and they are absolute tanks. I'm having trouble right now but I hope it's just with the fuel filter. It's most the same 1.5 acres for nearly 35 years.

Nice, that was sure easy! say I noticed in the video for your mowing deck, your hangars are backwards, it should be forward & hooked on the other side. Mitch 👋

Tyler Pripps I noticed at 7:14, your hangar should be forward on the other side not on the bar/lift side

Hockey47Mitsch well would ya look at that. I wonder how long mine's been that way. That's how the previous owner had it set up. Looks like I've got a small project for this weekend. Thanks for pointing it out and showing me the way. Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for more videos.

I also sold this tractor this summer. I bought it several years ago for $3400 (I think) and sold it for $2500. Not a terrible value. I'm really missing the snow blower now though! Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@tylerpripps4969 Yes I think it was a good move for both of us. Because those diesel tractors are very expensive to repair when they break down & parts hard & expensive to find.

Since you have one of these I have to ask A customer of mine just gave me hers. It over heats and pukes alot of oil every time it runs. Im guessing it could be a plugged air system or radiator. Any ideas that I could be missing? I have always wanted a 332 but im praying its not completely ruined.

markofthejt motj mine does the same thing when it's run really hard. Though I don't think it pukes oil. One thing I did to improve the overheating is to take out the radiator, straighten the fins and give it a thorough cleaning. The next thing I might try is to replace the thermostat. If that doesn't do the trick, I fear it's the head gasket. Good luck. Thanks for watching

Tyler Pripps Thanks for replying and hopefully it isnt the gasket. The one I just got has 840 hours on it so im hoping it just needs a good cleaning and filter replacements.
