With a height of just 5' 9" , and playing in national team(not as a libero), he should be extra ordinary.

Absolutely insane. 5’9” was more commonly seen in the old days. Today is a big mans game. Yet Japan overcomes that. Just an amazing team with supreme chemistry.

His vertical jump (295 cm) is quite impressive despite his height. There were clips of him jumping just a couple of inches lower than their MB, and of him blocking much taller outside hitters like clevenot (Fra) and martinez (Arg). kzread.info/dash/bejne/aXtsmct8cbfSaLg.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE

2:00 I love that Ishikawa showed Nishida that his ball hit the libero in the face. Nishida didn´t see it happen but instantly went to apologize after seeing Ishikawas gesture.

Ryujin Nippon has loveable sportsmanship manner. In some occasions they went over to the opposite court to make sure the player getting hit was okay. Love Ryujin Nippon! ❤❤❤
Sekita is one of the best setters out there.

I agree with that and he is one of the reasons why I play volleyball
The most underrated position in volley (by the general public not by players, players understand the value of a good setter). People always look at spikes. Reality is, if the pass ain’t good, there’s no spike

Totally agree, I play recreationally and was a former libero for my team, and during trainings, this has always been reiterated, “you cannot create a killer point (spike) beautifully without a good pass and set”. I ultimately admire setters, not only because I suck at it but having that soooo much responsibility and doing it beautifully is such a wonderful thing to see. Setters are the conductor in an orchestra. Only those who play volleyball in real knows how setters can be MVPs too.
This guy is in the running for 2nd best setter in the world behind Christensen. What a player and I love watching Japan play.

He's definitely great but not 2nd best. There's setters like Bruno, Saeid Marouf, Christenson, and I forgot his name but Italys starting setter that are arguably better. In the end of the day, you can't compare players of whose better and best. Only teams.

Wow my dream is to become the best setter ever I learn everything from japan team
3:47-4:00 ball?what ball? I didn't see anything
I know this vid is abt Sekita... but at 2:04 Ishikawa informing Nishida that he hit Kovačič in the face, making sure he checks on him, that's true sportsmanship
They can skip yuki but they have ran...they can skip ran they have yuji, miyaura or else...but try to take this sekita out they must be in trouble ..this man is really a great setter ...japan team are amazing ,they very entertaining to watch ...
Летающие японцы😍✊🏼
If I were given a chance to become a volleyball player, then I will choose setter position. I want to become the playmaker of the game.
