Another vote for El Paso, a true treasure and one of the classic songs of all time!!!!
You will love his ‘El Paso’ an American treasure of a song.
You need to hear "White Sport Coat".

Yes! No one reacts to that song!
El Paso is by far his most well known song, and it’s great, but I’m begging you- if you choose to react to “el paso”, PLEASE do the other two as well. It is a trilogy, there are 3 different songs about the same event, each from a different perspective. “El Paso” is first, then “Feleena”, and the third is “El Paso City”. When you are done you will feel as if you watched a movie- it is pure musical genius, and you are truly missing out if you don’t hear all three songs.
@paulpeacock1181

It would be great if they decided to do all three songs on the same day

Yes, please. The trilogy of El Paso songs. In the order stated above.
Here is something I just read about him from Big Iron: How Marty Robbins Became A NASCAR Legend "In 1974 he purposely drove into a wall at 160mph, suffering a broken tailbone, broken ribs, 37 stitches to the face and two black eyes, rather than T-bone Richard Childress whose car had been left sideways across the track after an accident. It takes a lot of guts to do something like that, but that’s the kind of guy Marty Robbins was."
Any song by Marty Robbins one can't help but love. 'El Paso' should be next. 'Ballad of the Alamo', 'A White Sport Coat', 'She Was Only Sixteen', Don't Worry About Me', 'Devil Woman's, 'My Woman My Woman My Wife'. Just getting started...

"My Woman, my woman, my wife," is a terrific song and bittersweet and MEANINGFUL.
Y'all would love his El Paso trilogy and for a complete different style White Sports Coat is great too. I loved sitting on my Daddy's lap and listening to Mr. Marty Robbins when I was a youngster
His voice was something else love marty robbins music
Yes yes yes and yes. The western in Country and Western music. I have loved western ballads all my life and nobody does them as well as Mr. Robbins did. Especially gunfighter ballads. This is my all time favorite one. He paints a picture in mind so real and dramatic. He delivers with a voice made to tell stories with. I still remember when every once in a while this would play on the country stations back in the day. Yes I'm that old. Never often because it was much longer than most songs. That meant fewer songs per hour which was considered bad back then. I grew up less than 10 miles where he did. I cannot thank you enough for this reaction. Love the song, love the singer and love you two for what you do.
You've got to do his version of Streets of Laredo. Also the El Paso trilogy - El Paso, Felina, El Paso City. He has tons of great songs. Love songs, Story sons, and basic country songs like White Sport Coat.
Heck, yeah! His El Paso trilogy, LA Paloma, White Sport Coat, and his version of Cool Water is great, too; almost as good as The Sons of the Pioneers . Y'all have 🎉so much to explore!✌️❤️..almost forgot my fave J will love- Singing the Blues!
Marty's greatest song ever is El Paso; it is a must!!! Just remember, there are two kinds of music ... Country and Western; Marty Robbins is definitely in the Western genre.
YES!!!! You guys absolutely NEED to hear El Paso! One of my favorites, I was fascinated by it my entire youth, partly because I grew up in El Paso, but it's also an amazing story telling song!
One of my favorites from the day, he was my Grandpa’s favorite too. My Grandpa loved “My woman, my wife”. Always dedicated it to my Grandma. 🥰
His song “My Woman, My Woman, My Wife is amazing and really showcases this man’s beautiful voice ❤️
Marty Robbins came to a county fair when I was a kid, and he allowed my sister and friend to go up on stage and sing. He loved it…
Marty Robbin’s is one of my favorite singers of all time! You guys have to do El Paso, El Paso City, Faleena, my woman my woman my wife, and so many other great songs by Marty!
So far, you've done a few of his gunslinger, story-telling songs. I know you love those fascinating stories. But hey, Marty Robbins could absolutely sing! Fabulous voice. Try songs like "Devil Woman", "Don't Worry", "Singing the Blues", "Tonight Carmen", "Ain't I The Lucky One", "Begging to You", "Like All the Other Times", "You Gave Me a Mountain" and "A White Sport Coat". As you mentioned in this broadcast, he was multi-faceted!
"El Paso" is a must. Another great story telling tune that is actually part one of a trilogy!
One of the best country balladeers there ever was. My woman, My woman, My wife is one of my favorites.
There are so many great Marty Robbins songs, but his cowboy and gunfighter ballads are the best. 'El Paso', 'Big Iron', and 'Billy the Kid' are three of my favourites and I've even used them when testing headphones and speaker setups due to their full, warm, natural sound quality. :)

Running Gun is one of my favourites 🙂
One of the greatest storytellers in country music was Tom T. Hall. His songs "Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine" and "The Year That Clayton Delaney Died" were classics.
One of the greatest story telling song writers. You really should do the trilogy of El Paso songs.
Amber you mentioned El Paso. Ya'll gotta listen to it. Marty Robbins is the man!
When it comes to Marty Robbins, I’m just going to drop this song title right here….”El Paso”. Trust me, it’s musical storytelling at its absolute finest. You can thank all of us who suggested it later. 😉 ❤
Marty Robbins Streets Of Laredo
This was my dad favorite singer he is in 80s he listened to Marty when he was younger
Thank you so much, as Mr. Shorty is my all-time favorite Marty Robbins song. You're right about him being a bit of a jack of all trades, but he really found his niche with western ballads. As others have stated, El Paso is one you guys should really check out. From what I can recall, it's the song that really put him on the map.
Martin David Robinson, aka Marty Robbins was born in Glendale, Arizona September 26, 1925, and died December 8, 1982. Marty was one of the first "crossover" country music artists. Crossover meaning a country genre song crossing over to rate on the pop charts as well. He did so many times with such hits as "Singing the Blues" #17 pop, "A White Sport Coat (and a Pink Carnation)" #2 pop , "The Story of My LIfe" #15 pop, "The Hanging Tree" #38 pop, "El Paso" #1 on the pop charts, "Big Iron" #26 pop, and "Don't Worry" #3 on the pop charts. My favorite song of Marty Robbins is "Don't Worry".
Great song! Whoever suggested it great job! I hadn’t heard that one, but I was actually envisioning Audie Murphy!
El Paso. I requested this song for two years.😊❤❤
More Marty Robbins for you: "El Paso" "The Ballad of the Alamo" "San Angelo" "The Master's Call" "Utah Carol" "Running Gun" "Song of the Bandit" "A Hundred and Sixty Acres" "Saddle Tramp" "The Hanging Tree" "Cool Water" "Ghost Riders in the Sky"
Must must must do El Paso. Best story telling of any song I've ever heard.
Marty Robbins - Devil Woman
My favorite Marty Robbins song. Great story.
The nearness of you is another great Marty Robbins song
Finally!!!! I love this song glad you did this one many haven't reacted to it! Glad its getting some shine 😀
One of the finest voices on all of Country Music!! No one could tell story in music like him. Play all the other songs mentioned by others on your channel.
I love Marty Robbins' voice. "El Paso" is my favorite song of his, but he is a great singer/storyteller. And, yes, he was a race car driver, too.
He's got such an amazing voice. Instantly recognizable.
Time for El Paso, white sport coat, my woman my wife, El Paso city, devil woman, hanging tree, singing the blue…he’s a great artist
My absolute favorite Marty Robbins song! That's saying something. He had so many good ones.
Wow. Great tune. Great story. Thanks!
"El Paso" and "Big Iron" should be on your short list.
@QueenoftheBlackCoast

They've already done Big Iron.
This is my favorite Marty Robbins song.
Thank you for reacting to the song! It’s so nice to hear songs that are not reacted to as much as others, but are like “deeper track hits”. There’s so much country gold in other deep track songs. Keep diggin!
i love your slogan......you "give the people what they want!" THANKS JORDAN AND AMBER (jay)❤
It's amazing how you've picked a Blondie shirt today..you know the Library Of Congress has listed her as an audio treasure? And Marty Robbins is a National Treasure to me..
My woman, my woman, my wife is a good one from Marty.
He will always remind me of my father. ❤
El Paso needs to be next - best ever
Two songs nobody does, but were his last hits. Honky-tonk man, & some memories just won't die.

Welcome I know you will enjoy watching how they react to different songs and artists
You absolutely need to hear El Paso, Faleena and El Paso Cty. This is a trilogy of songs. Also listen to Adios Amigo
"Don't Worry about me", one of his best.
Who thinks they should do Tennessee Ernie Ford "Sixteen Tons"? Hit the like
@gregorymoore2877

I second the nomination for "Sixteen Tons" by Tennessee Ernie Ford
"Down in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl. Night time would find me in Rose's Cantina, music would play and Felina would whirl....." I vote for this one as well! He has a whole album of gunfighter ballads that I grew up listening to. The Master's Call! always gave me chills, and Cool Water if you want a story about being stranded in the desert. All of them are great. Love you guys!
Marty Robbins "Elpaso " is a fantastic song
El Paso Marty's biggest hit He did love Spanish music
Marty Robbin’s a classic ❤️✌🏻🎶
Wow, Amber, you and I have something in common: my great-grandfather was an oil field man, too! He worked for Standard Oil, today known as Chevron, in Taft, California.
Marty Robbins is a legend that I could happily listen to him sing solo with no backup singers or instruments. The background guitarist just kinda noodling around in the background is common in a lot of his songs.
More from Marty....."The Master's Call", "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife".
Hey people are suggesting El Paso and I couldn’t agree more, but also Feleena, which is a sequel to the El Paso story.
I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll back up these other folks, please listen to El Paso. It’s usually considered one of the 2 all time greatest country songs (along with He Stopped Loving Her Today). El Paso is probably the best example you’ll get for storytelling, the voice is super smooth, and the Spanish guitar is just incredible.
You've got to listen to My woman my woman my wife. It is an amazing song I think you will truly love it. Thank you and God bless you both. ❤😊
This and several other of Robbins songs are keen examples of "Western" music and I'm so glad y'all have found it. Until about 1980, radio stations all had "Country and Western music" and dance halls and clubs were called "C&W" clubs. Suddenly, there was no more Western music on the radio. Yet, it persists in late night shows like "Red Stegall's Bunkhouse." Michael Martin Murphey, R. W. Hampton, Ian Tyson, Dave Stamey are all great examples of Western music available here on KZread and streaming. Please check it out.
You like the way Robbins paints a story, check out his song "The Masters Call"
You should check out Marty Robbins - Don’t Worry. Look for the video showing the guy at the steel guitar wearing a pink shirt. I think you’ll get a kick out of the video. They joke around and there’s a special part with the steel guitar.
I never heard this song before, but I like it. I'm short. Mr. Shorty.
Marty is my num 1 fav and the amount of reactions to his music is so little that i often check to see if any new reactions have been made to this beautiful music. And to whoever recommended this thankyou because i love this one. Also bill thaxton, prairie fire, never tie me down, melba from Melbourne. I could prob find the youtube max character limit just by typing out my favorites. Long live marty
My Dad's favorite song. He named one of his horses after it.
The Story of my Life, You gave me a mountain and my favorite - Some memories just won’t die
Back in the 70's my Mom was at the Nashville airport on her way to fly home to visit her family in Germany, while waiting Marty Robbins sat down next to her and they talked for about an hour or so before their flights. She said he was such a nice and interesting person to talk to. RIP Mom & Marty
My Woman,My Woman My Wife, or A White Sport Coat, Lord, you gave me a mountain, The Masters call are all great songs. Also, listen to El Paso, which is actually a 3-part song. Next would be Feleena then El Paso City. You can't go wrong with any Marty song.
Gotta listen to the balleds of el.paso, all three. Last one is called falina
1. You guys need to do a western on your movie channel. 2. Storytelling songs from Johnny Horton Sink The Bismarck, and Battle Of New Orleans. 3. Theme song from the classic western High Noon called Please Don’t Forsake Me, My Darling.
El paso trilogy is the greatest story telling
Do the trilogy - El Paso, Felina and El Paso city . It would be a first for your show and well worth it .
A lot of folks are suggesting El Paso, while a phenomenal song that i truly enjoy, may i suggest The Masters Call?
@gregorymoore2877

I second the nomination for "The Master's Call"
El Paso Felenna and El Paso city they all go together.
Rob & Amber I am so glad this was put on your YT channel by your audience. What makes real country music story telling is they sat around campfires telling stories just to pass the time a long time ago. 2 thumbs up-Kid Yuma. :-)
The Master's Call is a must. Hope you will listen to it regardless if you react to it or not. FYI, Hank Williams, Jr also cut an album of western/gunfighter songs (Ballads of The Hills and Plains). Another country singer of ballads and historical songs is the great Johnny Horton. I don't think I have seen any one react to his songs. Some of Horton's songs are North To Alaska, Johnny Reb, The Battle of New Orleans, Sink the Bismarck, Comanche (The Brave Horse) [supposed to be the only survivor from the Battle of the Little Bighorn on Custer's side]. He also sang some pretty romance songs-All For The Love of a Girl and Whispering Pines.

I second the nomination for "The Master's Call" by Marty Robbins I also second the nomination for these songs by Johnny Horton: "The Battle of New Orleans" "Sink the Bismarck" "When It's Springtime in Alaska (It's Forty Below" "North To Alaska" "Johnny Reb" "Comanche (The Brave Horse)" And I'll add the following: "The Sinking of the Rueben James" "Snowshoe Thompson" "O'Leary's Cow" Many of the above are from the album Johnny Horton Makes History
Great reaction to Mr. Shorty 👏🏻🥰‼️
ROB SQUAD, I see a LOT of people voting for El Paso, but I think if you guys really liked this song then the song "Big Iron" would be a PERFECT next song for you to tackle!! Like THIS song, it's a story of a gun battle between two in the old west!! And it was ALSO covered by the Grateful Dead!!
For more like this, check out the Marty Robbins album "Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs". I recommend 5 Brothers or The Strawberry Roan. The spanish guitar work is likely 60s Nashville session ace Grady Martin, who did the guitar work on Marty's "El Paso".
Yes there is a song El Paso but this song is the first part of three songs that tell a story. Listen to them in this order- El Paso, Felina, El Paso City. He was going to do a fourth song to this but he had passed away. Thanks for posting.
@gregorymoore2877

I second the nomination for the El Paso trilogy in the order stated above. I would also request Jimmy Dean's Big Bad John trilogy: 1. "Big Bad John" 2. "Little Bitty Big John" 3. "The Cajun Queen"
Love his voice
In my 20s I loved Marty❤❤. I'm 60 years old. Try 5 Brothers!! Hanging Tonight!! MANY MORE!!😊😊
Utah Carol is amazing
Yes, you got to do the El Paso trilogy!
@gregorymoore2877

Yes, the El Paso trilogy. This is the order: 1. "El Paso" 2. "Felina (From El Paso)" 3. "El Paso City"
Marty is the GOAT of story telling Country and Western. but 2nd place is Tom T. Hall.
Great Story Teller!! He was from GLENDALE,AZ YOU TWO WOULD LOVE OTHER SONGS,HE DID A LOT OF THEM!! HELLO FROM PHX,AZ
Ok, ill join the forces already say it! U gotta do EL PASO!!!!! U will absolutely get caught up on the story of the handsome young cowboy and the beautiful, wild Feleena
Another grreeaatttttt story song of his is the Ballad of Bill Thaxton .
MARTY!!! :) As I see, below - there are many suggestions for El Paso!! I always loved the way that his manly vocals did "sound-n-recall" with the gentle sounding spanish-like-guitar work. Great story work, too!! MAKES you listen!! :) JUST ADORE HIM - reminds me of when I was very little and my Daddy played him, quite a bit. He loved Marty - and, now: SO DO I!!! :) For a change-up - you might listen to A White Sports Coat (And A Pink Carnation)!! HUGS, YA'LL!!!
Hi Guys, I have been following you guys from the beginning I am a big 60s fan and have listened to that music for over 60 years and love it. You guys add extra meaning to all of those songs that I've listened to for years.This may not be the place for a request, however you guys mentioned how much you love the Mamas and Papas and have only done 2 songs by them. Today is my birthday, and I am putting in a request for "Words of Love" by them. It alao highlights Mama Cass's voice and I know you love it Amber. If you can not do it today, please consider it in the next few days. Thanks for all the enjoyable listening guys and God Bless, Harv --
