He floods and creates plagues to punish sinners. New Testament God invented purgatory (temp hell.) The devil has a place in this world. His job is to filter out the good souls from the bad ones. In fact, I don't even believe God sends souls to hell. He just keeps them away from heaven by sending them back to earth to the mortal world (reincarnation) as many times as possible until they can get it right and be worthy of God's Kingdom. Eternal damnation is a contradiction in the Bible because the same book teaches redemption is never impossible.

What's so awful about a single mom? Some pos knocks her up and abandons her, so now she's unworthy of being loved? I'm with a single mom and she nurtures me, gives me her unconditional love and loyalty. I do the same for her because I love her, she's worthy and she too is deserving of it. Her child who is innocent in all this, is also is worthy and deserving of love. I have no qualms about being a father to that kid and loving him like my own.

This is a lesson to all who may not see it, Like Job, He was tempted by satan to forsake god, To turn on the Lord, But instead, He for go his own desires and selfishness and help others and god showed him, That satan is the one that lies, and that all things will come and his will be done, as in earth and in heaven. and satan can hurt job, But can not kill him, For that is god's will.
