He Cured My Chipping Yips | Fixing Frankie presented by G/FORE

Спорт

Frankie "Butterknives" Borrelli was sick and tired of blading wedges all over the course so he finally did something about it. First things first was to get that mind right, so he went down to visit the well-renowned sports psychologist, Dr. Bhrett McCabe.
And just like that the process of Fixing Frankie has begun thanks to our friends over at G/FORE.

This was really cool to watch. Props to Frankie for sitting down and being so open about something he struggles with on the golf course. Was very interesting to see what can happen with a game when you simply take the time and have a process over each and every shot.

I’ve watched this video several times. Frankie is all of us….the more we love this game, the harder we try. The harder we try, the more we get in our own heads. Routine, slowing down and simple thinking has taken Frankie’s chipping from a terrible weakness to a strength. Dr. Brhett McCabe connects with his athletes so we’ll because he’s an athlete. Who else can figure out the mental game of sports better than a pitcher?! Great work Frankie and Dr. McCabe! Cheers boys 🍻

This is the best video Foreplay has ever put out. I would really enjoy seeing Trent go through this similar process. Watching him you can tell he’s worried about everyone else and looking for a reaction. The self explanation and excuses for himself show he’s not playing for himself. He could be great but the thoughts on what everyone thinks of him occupy too much space.

Wow. Just wow. Love the foreplay guys and I’m a licensed therapist who always sort of thought being a sports psychologist would be the ultimate place to be but you rarely find one willing to let you behind the curtains of their process. So, hats off to Dr. McCabe for that and hats off to Frankie for being willing to be so vulnerable. Bravo gentlemen.
