Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZread channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

Read a book quite a few years ago now called '4 Iron in the soul' True story about a journalist who takes a year off to become a golf caddy for a tour pro. Really good book, really funny and eye opening about what some of the caddies go through particularly when caddying for lesser known golf pro's. Definitely recommend it.

I love the confidence he put on Rick at 42:30 with Rick worrying about the branches and Will responds with "Naw, you're gonna be fine, don't even see the branches" and then follows it immediately with "You can, yes you can" when Rick starts to question where he can drop it. Fantastic to see how a Caddie works with the golfer. Wish you all the best in your Tour career Will.

I'm sure it's a significant adjustment that a player has to make when they have a caddie, but I did feel that Rick didn't make it and constantly over-rode Will's advice. Will didn't fight him on it, which I suspect is the sign of a good caddie anyway. The other thing that I noticed Rick doing that maybe Will could have pulled him up on was thinking holes ahead instead of focussing on the ball at his feet and the shot needed to play that. Certainly all Will's advice was about that shot, not some mythical shot on the next hole.

Great video, one of my favorites in this series. Loved Will Davidson. I can see the value on the reinforcement, the keeping focus, etc., even when it's nothing more than an "I agree." Maybe I'm just speaking too much for myself, but even when I am "pretty sure" I know the line--even on short putts, or how to play a shot into the green, etc., there's some small amount of doubt that keeps me from fully committing too many times. I need a Will Davidson in my life.

I really like the addition of the Caddie for interesting content. It's so cool to see how much a good caddie can help.

This was awesome Rick. I'm a big Lexi fan so to see you play 18 with her caddie was really cool. Will seems like a super nice guy and can't wait to listen to the podcast. Thanks! And nice round by the way!

Wow, I was rooting so hard for you on this round. Interesting how you can feel pressure to just shoot an arbitrary score with nothing else on the line. That's golf. Love it.

Always enjoy the videos!!!! I fight the same over draws and have been fitted and played longer and upright irons being 6'3" ,I had a chance to play some irons that were 2 degrees flat and it really calmed it down and really freed me up , maybe with all the access you have to irons give it a shot !! it might help like it did with me or it won't but you won't know til you try !! Again really enjoy your hard work , keep it up !!!

This was quite educational. It was also nice to see that even though this was just for fun, the caddie took it very serious and it showed with the outcome. Rick your videos are great and your podcast is so much fun to watch. i would love to see a video of you and Guy with caddies at Royal Port Rush gold club. Maybe a finale for the final Can I break 75 for the year.
