This happened in the late afternoon on June 15th 2023. It was a Thursday. The daughter was from a previous relationship of the mom. Thereby, she was his step daughter. He wasn't "insane" even by "legal" standards. He had been thinking about it for months. That nullifies his "insanity" plea. He did it because he's an EVIL POS!

I was a volunteer at a man and women's shelter, I heard the horror stories and I saw the physical scars and mental anguish in both women and men.

For real. I have 3 step children all 6 and under and one 10 month old boy and I would never even think about hurting my step kids much less my own kids. Your definitely insane to want to do that to any children much less your own all because your wife wants to leave you but he was obviously aware of what he was doing. Although I live in Ohio, I knew nothing about this horrific case. But it seemed probable, as I listened to Lamont's recitation of the facts (especially how he ripped one son from the arms of his wife, to then slaughter him) that this POS's anger was directed toward his wife -- he hated her and wanted to hurt her very, very badly, and that is why he didn't kill her too. He wanted her to live the rest of her life knowing her children were brutally murdered. I doubt an insanity defense is going to cut it. This is a proper case for the death penalty.

Am I living amongst humans? I am scared of the politicians and individuals and the people in general of this country.

Lamont, I saw a news interview talking to their neighbors and they said that the father/husband abused his family on a daily basis. Police were called neighbors tried their best to keep an eye on the family. Neighbors said he raged at his wife telling her that he will take away his kids over and over again. Sad event there.

This is 50 miles from me. The trial dates start in May 2024. Death penalty on the table. But, now it is said his rights were violated. Not read the complete Miranda Rights. What about the rights of his children? The mother was shot in the hand, step daughter not physically injured. Allegations of his abuse through neighbors/witnesses throughout the time of the family living there. So want to see justice for these babies.

Not receiving Miranda advisement does not absolve you, it only lets you try to suppress evidence, typically your own words, obtained as a result. The eyewitness, fingerprints on a gun, bullets in people, the gun, the dispatch call, anything he said before they took him in custody, all admissable. Even Ernesto Miranda was convicted and sent to prison, they just had to do it without his confession.

​@@MF-ty2znIf you are referring to Vega v Tekoh, that is not what that decision meant. An officer still needs to advise someone of their rights, it is policy for almost any department. If you don't advise someone then the burden is on you to prove thy knew their rights, not an easy task. If you don't advise then you risk the evidence being suppressed, if you interrogate without an advisement there is a good chance the D.A won't take up the case.

But to see 3 kids laying on the ground with bullets in their heads like that is enough for them to put in early retirement. That is something that you can't unsee. I would not have been able to handle a scene like that.

I realize that 911 operators are trained to try to get as many details as possible, but it usually isn't convenient or proper to the situation. They end up taking forever to send someone, yet while having enough details to do so from the start. In the case of stuff like home invasion/burglary where someone is hiding in the closet whispering, the 911 operator will be *screaming* into the phone and constantly asking back to back questions as if they're trying to get them caught and killed. That's something that really irks me.

Lamont, when it comes to children, my heart breaks, especially for the sister who tried to get the boys help, if you are ever in Hibbing, MN, stop at Maple Hill Cemetery, my 3 yr old nephew was laid to rest there in 1998, killed by a drunk driver. The stone is beautiful & his face, forever etched on the stone.

This case breaks my heart and makes me sick! We need tougher laws for these monsters!! Too many children are killed by their so-called parents.
