    @fezzik7619

    It’s about the technique. They stabilize everything from head to toe. For them it’s not about making the muscles bigger, but more stratified and taught. It’s why they can generally lift more than bodybuilders.

  • @DominicSJarrett

    @DominicSJarrett

    2 ай бұрын

    Strength performance depends not only on the quantity and quality of the involved muscles but also on the ability of the nervous system to appropriately activate the muscles. When you train as a power-lifter, you allow your central nervous system to adapt to heavier loads and more fully activate prime movers in specific movements and to better coordinate the activation of all relevant muscles, thereby effecting a greater net force in the intended direction of movement. A powerlifting routine typically involves rep ranges between 1-6 generally speaking - with 1-3 being the optimum range for pure power. While this will tear some of your fibers, it isn't enough for true hypertrophy. So powerlifting isn't good if you are looking to maximize hypertrophy i.e. gain size - but you will get stronger. You can think of powerlifting as runners going for maximum speed during a 100m sprint for example. Whereas bodybuilders are like runners going for the best time during an 8km marathon. One is about pure power the other is more a test of endurance. So while Anatoly can lift heavier, he isn't doing 4 sets of 12 at these loads. And he'll likely burn out. Whereas the bodybuilders are used to doing lifts at greater volumes (more repetitions but lower weight). Sorry for the long rant.

    @DominicSJarrett Not to mention, many bodybuilders use steroids. And they eat massive quantities of protein and supplements to help create the look they are going for. That's not to say that they aren't strong, or that they don't have to put in the work, just that they tailor things to the results that they want.

    For those who dont know. There is different ways to train a muscle. volume. strength ist not volume. For strength you gotta train the neuronal communication between brain and muscle. you do that with maximum weight period over 9 weeks. like 3 repitiotions each set, with maximum weight, maximum active muscle portential, maximum rest time the sets. Anatolis muscle strength is trained professional. if he would go for volume he could even go stronger. but i dont think his metabolism is able to get way more volume.
