The way the rhythm section lifts you up with three chords to prepare you for the prechorus, then brings you right back down, gently, with the same three chords in reverse order to marinate in it. Me too! Was a hardcore fan at 13 years old growing up in detroit when his first album came out. I didn’t find any folks that were into his music until I left the D and went to college. I saw him perform during this concert tour in Atlanta in ‘95. Best live concert experience ever! 😍
