I wish that someone had not blurred the subtitles. I would of loved to hear the important words from the perspective of people that actually live there.

Very Good Documentry. I love to see the Mom Turtle lay Eggs and returned to sea. The way she hide the Eggs and when they stop her going back to sea to put GPS on her, She Cried. Wow. Amazing. Thanks for such Wonderful Documentey.

31:30 Today, in Vietnam schools, the legends of Âu Cơ and Lạc Long Quân is being told in a slightly different yet notably way. She is generally acknowledged as an immortal mountain fairy (not a Chinese princess), who married Dragon Lord of Lạc and gave birth to a hundred children known as Bách Việt, ancestors to Vietnamese people. Although many old documentaries referred her origin related to China, owing to the present dispute between the two countries, most Vietnamese people are not happy about the way the legends have been told in the past because of the relevance of their origins to China.

Nice documentary but it makes a mistake: Mekong River does not run into the South China Sea. It runs into the East Sea. Please remember it!

+Phúc Trần I cant find the East Sea on Google-Earth, maybe the people use this name of cause. How you come to this comment? Regards.

+Antonius vd Klis Thank you for asking. I have to say that I write the above comment out of anger. Geographically, South China Sea is not a wrong name. Geopolitically, however, it is very troublesome. That mostly because the Chinese government think and try to claim the whole sea as their own (you can find the "nine dash line" and all other craps they are doing on the internet). Big fact: it's not . There are many countries having sovereignty on the sea, including VIetnam (my country, where it's called East Sea, yes that's how I come to the comment -) ), the Phillippines (where it's called West Sea), Malaysia... There is an ongoing effort to internationally change the sea's name to Southeast Asia Sea. About Google, it seems they still used the Chinese name Xisha and Nansha for the Paracel Islands and Spratly islands (Vietnamese names: Hoàng Sa and Trường Sa). I hope they are going to listen and change them soon. Oh, I talked too much, really sorry for having bothered you. I just want to make the matter clear. Thank you again. Regards.

Phuc, you shouldn't have cried. The Vietnamese are doing this very same thing to the Cambodia and Laos and much more. How come you Vietnames never hear their cries?

I hope they set some land aside for the cranes. It will be horrible if yet another species goes extinct, like the tiger's have disappeared from this area. The tiger's are an endangered species also.

Women narrators are worst. Too much emotion for a documentary.
