The reason it feels rushed is because A24 only green lit 8 episodes ! The crew had to jam everything they wanted to tell within those 8 episode and we're already half through them. Thankfully, they got approved for a second season and hopefully more than 8 episodes

Agreed - a decent television season should have at least twelve episodes that are 30-45 minutes in length: it’s obviously in episode three that there was supposed to be more happening with both Vaggie and Carmilla but that it was cut due to time constraints - a full twelve episode season can fix that problem.

This. Right here. I’m willing to cut Hazbin a break due to obvious production BS. I was stunned when I read that the first season only had 8 episodes. 12 should be the bare minimum for a show like this (30-45 minutes each). Here’s hoping Season 2 will have more room to breathe.

I think hazbin's problem right now is it's rushing all it's plot points. It needs to take it's time because other than that, this show has been amazing, especially episode 4.

I agree. The way they just introduced Carmilla and immediately tells us she killed the angel they could have introduced her in ep 3 and then reveal she killed the angel in another episode but no. Just rush it it's fine

I like how he has gone from Alestor’s punching bag to the mole to a genuine redemption seeker in only three episodes and that the writing tracks with the character arch all the way through! That’s a real accomplishment for the writers and my hat goes off to them!

The only problem I have with Episode 3 is that they throw Carmilla in there and write her as if she’s a character we know. Like, it’s revealed she killed the dead Angel shown to us in Episode 1, and her song tells us she did it to protect her children. Like…ok? Why would we care? We JUST met this character.. why would we care about these characters we know nothing about? I feel like the show is rushing to cover too many things since there’s only 8 episodes in the season. I also felt like Valentino’s character had a MASSIVE shift from his introduction in episode 2. In that episode, he was portrayed much more comedically, but in Episode 4, he’s the manipulative perverted abuser we all knew him to be prior. Just felt a bit off to me, but other than that, Episode 4 is the best episode so far.

Those are my exact thoughts and I'm glad I can just reply to someone rather than make my own comment haha. Carmilla's line delivery, animation and songs felt to me like they're reaching for a certain gravitas that feels 'unearned', I think "as if she's a character we know" is right on the money. And I think it wouldn't have taken a lot to flesh her out enough to earn that. I think Zestial was very well introduced in his little conversation with Alastor, with how he spoke, how Alastor and the passers-by reacted to him. They could have trimmed a bit off certain other moments to give Carmilla a proper introduction as well IMO. As it is, she just feels like this random shouty Karen.

I love the 3 Vs as antagonist. Vox is so charismatic and entertaining. He has such a smooth voice and steals any scene he is in. Velvet is so brazen and confident that despite her being asshole she is enjoyable to watch and Valentino is so hatable yet intimidating and creepy. Which is his role in the story and he does it well. I like how each of the Vs got their own episode to shine they are a very well written trio of villains that I hope to see more from in the future.

What I like about episode 4 is that Angel's issues arent solved, that he isnt even close. It ends with him accepting that he HAS a problem, openly and not just being sarcastic about it

If Niffty went to Valentino's studio instead of charlie I dont know if he would still have hands to hit Angel Dust...

Dude I wanna talk about how AMAZING Blake Roman was during that scene - the low lows of his voice contrast so perfectly with Angel’s usual high pitched tone. The way his voice starts sounding softer and deeper after he’s shown Val’s contract just brings you down to Earth and makes the reality of the situation feel more real in comparison to Angel’s usually cartoony voice and I love it!

When I saw the scenes where Valentino was abusing Angel and Charlie almost went full demon, It kinda bugs me that Charlie is possibly the most powerful character in the series and yet she never uses that power. I mean I know she holds back because she doesn't want to be feared, But that doesn't mean she should just standby and watch her friends be treated like crap. Charlie may have all that power and never use it, But how she uses it is her choice and she shouldn't be afraid to use her demon powers if she's using them to protect her friends.

I agree with one half of your statement and disagree with another. I agree that if Charlie did use her demon power to defend her friends she'd be using her power for good. But on the other hand, Deep down Charlie is afraid to show that side of her to even the most evil demons in hell. Because not only would she be feared, But Charlie herself is afraid of what the outcome would be if she just "went-to-town" on even the lowest of lowlives.

Also, I don't think Charlie could have ever helped angel dust then, only make it worse. The only I BELIEVE to save angel is either murder Val with angelic weapons, val trades away angels soul, or someone gets vals soul. Or there is a way to destroy the contract 🤷‍♂️

Not to mention that Angledust told her to leave because he said she messed everything up, which was honestly a really hard scene to watch as well since she's probably one of the very few people who actually cares about him and he just told her to go away, I mean we all know why he did this but it's hard to watch, it's a pretty complicated situation and if she just attacked Val or something it could cause even more problems

Its a corner stone of her character, choice. To want redemption, staying at the hotel, or simply getting away from a horrible situation, Charlie does not want to use her powers because it undermines true change. Forcing herself into a situation or forcing others to act in a way undermines her image and goal. And to be technical given the 4 actual episodes only, we don't know if she'd have the skills needed to win against Val. We know she has her limits of BS and was willing to go a few rounds the moment Val escalated but Angel stepped in and asserted the real fault came from Charlie. And because Charlie spends her time trying to make things better to assert the opposite is how you break her. That said, absolutely agree I do hope we see this 3-way encounter between Angel Valentino and Charlie resume. And regardless of it being because Angel's character growth or Charlie's, I hope we see Charlie let off the leash and see just what she can do. And so far there's no better target practice then Val.

Despite the pacing issues, the highlight of episode 3 for me was the insight we got into how the Overlords operate- Alastor gets humbled a couple times, and is shown to have more interest in Hell's politics other than "haha chaos and death = fun", what we usually see of him. The end of 'Respectless' we also see that Velvette isn't just an impulsive brat, she's much smarter than she lets on and is an overlord for good reason. She already knows what Carmilla did and they will most definitely have some major beef going forward. Also, I hope I'm not the only one to notice that Charlie didn't reveal that Adam shot down her idea of redeeming souls. I expect this is going to be a major source of conflict within the main cast. Given the previews we have through the trailers and a few clues from the trading cards, you can sort of predict how everything's about to go down...

The 4th episode is actually a banger, it makes me loved Angel and Husk so much, and Val like a great villain! Loser Baby is the best song with Hell is Forever.

Also the highlight of episode 4 was Angel Dust and husk singing and going through their problems they had in the past. That was the major thing that brought life and saw the potential of these characters.

Episode 4 made me bawl my eyes out. It’s my fav episode so far

The things I liked about episode 4 is how Angel Dust opens up with other characters makes the episode come full circle, and how he interacts for the characters from that point on was great.

I also adore the attention to detail with angel’s voice you can tell when he’s acting his voice is lighter and almost weak but when stops acting you can hear he’s normal voice before he was angel

I’ve never felt so conflicted with a villain until Valentino. I love him as a villain cause of his personality, design, and his actions, but hate him because of what he does to Angel. I’d lump in the “characters you love to hate” category. My personal favorite villain in the series so far, Vox being a close second.

My first time watching I was so excited, I like the lore and development (angel being my favorite alongside husk's), but the amount of bursting into song really caught me, and that was the only thing I could really think about for the rest of the episodes, I was quite literally screaming "I swear to god if you sing one more time I'm going to commit a sin!" Angel's songs and Vox's duet with Alastor is my favorite by far though.

I think the songs of the first 3 episodes suffer this, with two exceptions in my opinion: First is Stayed Gone, because we hear the music start playing before they start singing. And second, even if sounds strange, Respectles... yeah I know, is the most jumpy of the songs, but i think that was the purpose, given that we should feel like we suddenly are scolded for being rude

Episode 3 and 4 where so great, respectless, poison, and loser baby were amazing songs.

I'm so glad you got used to Husker and Velvette's voice. I'm personally a huge fan of Keith David (Husker's VA), he's been amazing as Spawn, Dr. Facilier, Arbiter, etc. Honestly one of my favorite VAs ever next to Micheal Kovach and Yuri Lowenthal. He also just has a brilliant singing voice.

The thing I love about Hazbin is the re-watchability. At first you don't know what to make of it, but upon second viewing, you notice the attention to detail and get more perspective. I agree with the consensus they are rushing through too many plot points but that is likely the consequence of not getting as many episodes they wanted and trying to work with what they were given. The pacing is a flaw but hey, there's no such thing as perfection.

After watching episode 3, i have to admit it was pretty good. Seeing the overlords come together is cool as hell. I love how we were introduced to Zestial and Carmilla. The duet and Camilla songs were fire, even if the first song was abrupt. Im looking forward to learning more about the overlords and what they'll do to counter the Angels. 9/10 for episodes 3 and 4

Episode 4 is also my favorite. The fear in Angel's voice when Charlie arrives made me very uncomfortable as it is a rare moment when he seems afraid. I also like how we see Charlie about to snap at Val before Angel stops her and tells her to leave. It both adds to Charlie's character and shows how stuck Angel is. Overall a great episode

To be fair, this IS a musical, and musicals do have plenty of songs. Some have few and some have dozens. Sometimes they build up to a song, or they interupt/abrupt a scene. It’s kinda what they do lol. Idk just a thought from a theater kid

imo something that might have been better for the third episode is if carmillas second song and her arc was brought to another episode. you could fill it in with more vaggie and charlie development, and vaggie could have her own song. the exception is if vaggie and carmilla are related. then it would makes sense for their duo

Bro. They were great episodes. Episode 4 is definitely the best so far

The Vees are building up to be some great villains! All 3 of them are horrible and I love it! Their voice actors are doing a wonderful job. It took me a bit to get with Valentino’s voice but it’s definitely grown on me now. His voice actor is great with contrast of his character being more comical in ep 2 and more serious in ep 4! But yeah! The episodes have been pretty good so far and the songs off the charts! Love it!

My favorite things about Episode 3 is the rivalry between Carmilla and Velvette especially when they sang Respectless and I love seeing Zestial Morde and Alastor together since they are both so scary and intimidating plus I love James Monroe Iglehart voicing Zestial Morde mostly because I love any character James Monroe Iglehart voiced like Ozzie and Vortex from Helluva Boss for example plus Sir Pentious and his Egg Bois are really adorable especially when they are sleeping. Also I can't believe Charlie and Vaggie argue, I never seen them argue but hey they are still a healthy couple and they do fight sometimes. As for Episode 4, well Valentino is such a creep especially towards Charlie and I feel sad for Angel Dust especially when Valentino abuses him plus if you notice that Valentino slaps Angel Dust, the same way Crimson slaps Moxxie in Exes and Oohs. Despite the uncomfortable abuse we had to see, at least we have a sweet moment with Husk comforting Angel through song and I think it's sweet they both have something in common. Overall I think these episodes are pretty good in their own way.

Val is absolutely disgusting and i LOVE IT. cannot wait to see more development from the Vees, and keeping my fingers crossed that Velvette and Vaggie will have some sort of rivalry so that all 3 Vees are connected to someone in the Hotel

The scene that hit me the hardest was after Val and Angel Dust and Angel is telling Charlie to get out. We know he wants help, but I can’t have someone that he cares about be dragged down into his problems bed of him. It’s something that people with mental struggles or real life struggles deal with.

ok I had two theories forming in my head after watching the new episodes: 1: Carmilla and Vaggie are conected somehow, the visuals in their share number where to indicative of this to be a coincidence. 2: Charlie is the most powerfull character in every room she is that we seen on screen until now with the possible exeption of Adam and she's just to afraid to snap. here I go, feel free to tell me that I'm wrong cause I can be wrong, these are just some ideas after 4 episodes so I don't have proof of nothing.

Carmilla and Vaggie are also Latino, so that could be a connection. Or it could just be Vivzie representing her heritage.

Episode 4 gave me all the emotional feels! HuskerDust is a great dynamic, but personally, I hope they just stay platonic friends.

Episode 3: There's something about Carmila's character I'm just not a fan of, I felt like her song was kind of out of no where and tried to make her character deeper even though she had just been introduced, plus you could hear the autotune when she sang. Plus, Velvet's voice is just... why? Also autotuned. And then there's Vaggie's plot, where she kind of becomes overly insecure, it reminded me a little of Unhappy Campers from Helluva Boss. Definitely my least favorite of the first four episodes. Episode 4: I went into this one very worried since people were saying their was basically a r*** scene that was completely unneeded and done poorly, but I didn't get that from watching it, it didn't seem much worse than Addict. When Poison first release a few weeks ago, I was worried about the music in this show since this one sounded so shallow and overly pop-like. It's definitely grown on me, and given the context in the show, it makes sense. Husk is great, and Losers is one of my favorite songs in the series so far. I know a lot of people were saying his original voice was better, but I like this one, I have no issue with it.

I like Sir Pentious the most. when he said "Thank you, thank you. You like me you really like me." it was so funny. He probably the only resident who has a higher chance of redeeming himself and going to heaven since Angel, Husk, and Niffty already sold their soul. Alastor doesn't want to change and Vaggie won't leave Charlie since she's the princess of hell so she prefers to live in Hell. Other than that I love Val's character design, he's a great villain with a unique personality and is fascinating to watch whenever he shows up especially in episode 2, he can be funny and creepy. "Loser, Baby" and "Respectless" was amazing!!!

Did you know Husk's silhouette is in the pilot scene where Vaggie explains how Alastor toppled the overlords? Such a great foreshadow!

I like the fact Husk is an overlord since he felt a but off from the rest design wise, so at least that explains why he’s a cat with wings. I do also feel like Poison could have made the bdsm scenes and SA less abrupt. Like it was super jarring when they’d cut back and forth to Val and Angel doing it then back to the song. Episode 3 was a miss for me, wish they didn’t reveal who killed the Angel in that episode since it kills the mystery set up.

They could have stretched the idea if Sir Pentitous being a rat for the V a little longer, who killed the angel a little longer, Vaggie character arc a little longer like in episodes we see Charlie give her something to do she messed up and it comes to a clash in the later episode not shown and concluded in one episode. They just rush throw all these ideas in just four episodes.

An idea and plot point that would be interesting to me if Carmilla and Vaggie form a connection or bond in the future, which I think was one of the reasons they did that song, to compare these two characters and their similarities such as how they act harsh and tough to protect those they are about

Imagine setting up all the murder mystery with the death of the exorcist angel that NEVER happened before... Just to reveal it two episodes later with a character we just met with the conclusion being demons and sinners just didn't try hard enough to kill the exorcists... It's like the first thing we learn about Darth Vader after his introduction is that he's the father of Luke Skywalker...

The episodes seem to just get better and better, it’s like they are trying build the world so then they can focus in on small details

BTW did anyone else realize that lilith has disappeared for 7 years and vox states in episode 2 that its been 7 years since Al was seen, not to mention the fact that in the pilot Al shows up right after Charlie's voice mail to her mom. So Al might be working with Lilith to help Charlie. And in the sneak peak with Lucifer, something is off with Al and Lucifer in the room so I suspect he might also know about it. Just needed to bring up the similarities and if anyone else has put this out sorry I just wanted to share my findings.

Episodes 3 & 4 are the best, I can’t wait for the rest of the season.

An observation I've made is with episode 4 I can see the contrast of the villains that are the V's. Vox is a wide over aching villain who's reach and aim can be felt across hell. He's the expand and take over type which makes sense for a business man. Valentino is far more personal. His villainy is far more focused and targeted, physical, sexual, down right abusive. Valentino is the everyday monster, he's the abusive partner, boss and the rapist in the park everyone fears running into in the dead of night. He's an overwhelming fear, the bump in the night that makes a victim jump because they won't know when it's coming. Velvet being the youngest is a brand of villainy as she seeks to undermine established order. She intends to shake things up, poison the well, start fights. All she needs to do is plant the seed, set a fire and watch germinate and grow as a result. She might actually gain support and twist a few arms when the next extermination comes around and Heaven is seen acting more aggressive so she can turn and flip the council on its head with the aid of the other V's in the way of more voices and pressure. All of them have their own fronts on which they touch and attack which is a nice show. They're all their own kinds of shit. Honestly I think episode 4 is my absolute favorite so far.

We I saw Missy Zilla in the Pilot my first thought was "that's an awesome character design. That better be an actual character in the show". Glad I was right.

I swear I love this show sm! I agree with the songs on ep 3, they took a while to grow on me… BUT EPISODE FOUR?? It was definitely hard to watch at some scenes, but I understand how they were sort of plot important to show us what angel was dealing with, and the songs made up for it!! Loser, Baby is a song I cannot stop listening to since it came out, and it’s probably my favorite, apart from stayed gone. I got into the show a couple weeks ago, when the trailers first dropped, and your channel helped me get caught up on time to be a mega fan just before the new season came out! I love your accent! Episode 4 is the best but worst one . Its amazing in how it deals with such a harsh topic, however to have the two of what seems to be the most broken (emotionally) people to find comfort in each other really feeds into the ship. This is a great show if nothing else your gonna find at least one song you listen to on repeat

Thank you! I understand that SA is an important topic but I felt like people were blowing it all out of proportion. The scenes were intense, sure, but they weren't THAT bad. And it's kinda understood through the episode that they are FILMING. I agree with episode four being my favorite too, and Loser Baby is also my favorite song!

a couple of things I noticed about the meeting. 1. carmilla looks at her daughter with shame when the angle head is thrown on the table maybe because she was supposed to dispose of the body. 2. Zes seemed very confused when carmilla started talking about protecting him. 3. The seating placement was very interesting, both the daughters are located closest if you were to exclude them then Allister's seat is next Zes and also next to the scary lady with the similar smile perhaps indicating a close friendship or alliance. on the other side you have the stranger more anthprmophic creatures, and then directly opposite you have Vox which is sort of like Russia at the UN.

I think the first few episodes moved a bit too fast, but I understand they had a pretty complex world to flesh out. By the end of episode 4 it feels like the cast and stakes have been firmly established, and we're already seen some arcs developing.

In the pilot I didn’t really care much for Husk, thought he’d be nothing but mood killer with constant bumming personality. However the main show really changed my opinion of him, I loved the scene where he basically reads everyone like a book because it highlights his gambling life & how he’s very good at telling when someone is pulling a poker face especially AngelDust. And don’t even get me started on the Loser, Baby song it’s become an instant comfort song for me as it always lift me back up when I’m in a quasi bad mood. Oh also he’s voiced by KEITH FREAKING DAVID! I never realized how much I missed hearing him sing until Loser, Baby. His voice is so smooth & classy.

I would like to say upfront that I don't think Vivzie or anyone on the show might even know this song I'm about to talk about. One part of watching hazbin, that was particularly fun, was to figure out which songs the Hazbin songs reminded me of. Mostly they were just reminders, and again, I think they're not even that similar and just a coincidence. Exept for that duett between Velvet and Carmine, which I still think is a coincidence, but there is one part that sounds almost exactly the same as a german song called Applaus Applaus (I think) and I was very happy when I finally figured out that similarity.

So during episode 3, I actually came up with a theory about Vaggie. So from the way she talks during this episode and the fact that she learned to trust people in the battlefield, I think it's quite safe to assume that she was in the military, or had some kind of ties to the military. At first my thought was that she got shot in the head, specifically the eye (hence the X on it, kind of like Alastor's on his forehead), and died in battle. But then I had another thought that would explain her insecurities in the episode better. I think that Vaggie, lost her eye while in the military and then got honorably discharged. There is a point in the episode where she says that if she can't be of any help then Charlie won't need her around. If she got laid off the military due to her injury that would explain why she feels that way. She was of no use to them half blind. Faustisse, said once that Vaggie has some suic*de themes. If that's still true, then that could explain why. If she lost her purpose like that. However even if my theory is even close to being correct, I do also agree that this argument was dropped on us from kind of nowhere.

The shows biggest issue is time managment/pacing which sucks because they only get 8 episodes a season (And the audio being a bit behind especially with lip syncing).

Ya with the songs for as much as Hazbin wants to be a musical it doesn't function like one because a musical works as follows: you get so emotional you sing and then when its to emotional you sing but Hazbin the songs don't have good build up and so the songs sometimes catch you off guard hopefully in later episodes iy will get better though

Angle dust is my favorite character, which is why for now. Episode 4 is my favorite because we get a bit more of angle and see what happens to him behind the scenes of his yknow movies and the duet at the end possibly making huskerdust is canon

I just want to say that Velvette's voice is amazing, and I loved her song. The accent and her sassiness resonated with me lots 🤣

I enjoy the respectless song, thou the pacing to the build up should've been later to reveal on who potentially killed the angel. If they wanted to show it was Carmilla thanks to her weapons developing position, it would've been fine if the episode had this meeting discussion a few episodes later. I really like the song given how it gives Velvette a scary twist that she is smarter than she lets on. Relistening to the song shows a good point on both sides of the argument. Now that they have the power to kill an Angel, they could fight back during the extermination, meanwhile the older Overlords don't want the Angels up in Heaven to go full on war and exterminate every single demon/sinner in Hell. I do enjoy learning that Husk was once an Overlord, back in the pilot you can see a shadow image of Husk when Vaggie was telling Angeldust about the backstory of how Alastor rose into power.

In episode 4 is that fox demon that Charlie almost ran into was the Tiffany that angel was talking about that he beat for the award?

The only song so far that has felt natural in the way it started (imo at least) is the Vox and Alastor song from episode 2. You could literally hear the music start in the background as Vox and Val were still talking, so you were getting prepared for the song to start. Not Carmilla and Velvettes song, that one jumpscared me ngl 😅

Something most people missed in Episode 4 is inside Val's dungeon, next to Val when they are filming, we see a black demon with a heart on his eye. My theory is that this is the same demon that appeared in the oppening sequence of the Addict music video and the one angel offered his "services" to in the original pilot.

I always liked Niffty and Sir Pentious, but they are rocketing to the top of my favorites. Zesty is so cool too.

Completely agree with your analysis of the poison song and how it was handled. This was the best episode by far.

I didn’t like one thing of episode 4 and that was how Charlie created the fire by accident…it felt a bit forced but outside that 4 is the best one so far, in season 2 they might iron out the issues of 1 with the songs and passing

I think for season 2 they should make episodes longer to make the stories last longer & not seem so rushed.

How come people don’t like the duet of carmilla and velvette, Istg their duet is either not gaining enough recognition and love or it’s just gonna be one of the underrated musicals

I don’t understand why people were so upset about the Poison scene in episode 4. Yes, it’s a very heavy topic, but A: they provide a trigger warning in the beginning of the episode and B: it’s handled in a way to display the fact that this is NOT healthy, and, like you said, it’s meant to be an uncomfortable scene. In my opinion, they handled it the best way they could’ve.

I say the 2-4 episodes talked about the Vees. Vox needs to chill with Al. Velvette has 2 designs one in ep 2 and another during ep 3 at the meeting. Personally I like the second one. Val is a creep towards Charlie and abused Angel. Over all, I like the songs, respectless, poison, and loser baby. Both are a 8/10.

Overall, after watching all four episodes like five times now, episode 2 is my number one (cuz I’m a sucker for Alastor) and episode 4 comes in second place (Poison is the tea, literally ;)). There are some areas where I find it to be a little rushed, and where there’s one too many songs… I know this is meant to be a musical but at the same time I want more cohesive dialogue and drama. Which can be fixed for season 2 as season 1 episodes are already set in stone.

I went back and watched the pilot again after seeing these four episodes, it had been a while. I picked up on a moment that I'm sure other people knew about for forever and analyzed into the ground, but seeing it in a new HuskerDusk light made me go, "Ahhhh!" When Alastor first summons up Husker, everyone is really negative about a bar being there - and then Angel TACKLES Vaggie with an uncharacteristicly vehement "SHUT UP! SHUT. UP. We are KEEPING THIS." And points to Husker, and the bar. At the time it was like "Wow he really wants to drink" but it was also an early tipoff that he could've actually been at least somewhat referring to Husker!

My favorite episode so far has been the 2nd one, I loooove alastor and vox's song and i like meeting sir pentious again. The 4th is my second favorite as I've always wanted to see deeper into Angel dust's struggle with Val, and I loved seeing Huskerdust finally shine through (its easily my favorite ship) The 1st episode comes 3rd, I find adam to be a very entertaining character but also he is an angel so its a little weird that he swears more then literally EVERY CHARACTER. Besides that, the commercial scenes were pretty entertaining. The 3rd episode has it's ups and downs. My favorite scene was definitley Alastor and Zestial's little walk to the meeting, and the egg bois were adorable. But vaggie and charlies fight seemed so forced. And I don't know why we got a song mostly focused on Carmilla when we literally jusy met her, it made it hard to connect with her. I loved the song respectless, velvettes voice slapped pretty hard. Besides that, the third episode felt a bit like a filler episode. No issues with that, just its my personal least favorite

I think the fourth episode is the best of the bunch, it did a great job of showing Charlie's character flaws, Angel's dilemma, and his dynamic with Husk. I understand the argument that Charlie could've stopped the abuse Angel was going through with her powers, but that's not what the story needs (or 'realistic', which I hesitate to say since I feel a good plot doesn't need to be realistic to be good). I think it did a great job of showing how even though Charlie had perfect reason to worry and try to help Angel, it wouldn't have stopped the abuse for good, convince Valentino to stop or be better, or helped Angel in the long term, it might've just put a bigger target on his back than she already did. Abusers don't care about reason they hold everything against their victims and don't care how it looks, going against what a victim says (hovering as Charlie was doing), even in good faith could hurt them. It was heartbreaking to see but I think it was handled appropriately. It shows that unfortunately, helping a victim doesn't just take some reason and a conversation and can actually cause more trouble for them in the short term. It was the episode I rewatched the most of the bunch, and will be watching again in the future by the way.

I love how name "husk" is just a short for huskies, and he's being a very good boy comforted angel dusk in this episode.😂

Episode ranking: 4 2 1 3 Personally my ranking is like this because: Four is clearly the best due to songs and tackling a complex subject so well. Also the development of Valentino as more of a villain character is so good for him. I think this episode really shaped who he is and showed his struggles with his own desires really well and also how bipolar he can be. I also really love the development of Husk because I was not expecting it. Episode 2 is almost my second favorite just because episode 1 and 3 sucked to me. Episode 1 is at number 3 because it feels rushed and like It was just trying to check off some boxes and where they tried to add flair they didn't achieve it and the buildup to Adams meeting and what it means kind of fell flat. Episode 3 is on the bottom because as much as I was entertained by some really good bits with Alistor and the egg boys That last song felt so unmeaningful to me because of the lack of buildup to the fight as well as the unevenness in including the overlord (I don't remember her name). Like it just felt like they had two different purposes and they shoved them into one song and Vaggie didn't even deserve that song yet.

I quite liked episode 3 & 4. My biggest negative opinion towards it is still the pacing.... Too many things are happening far to fast. I wish they took their time more with the story. Either each episode I feel should of been stretched to two episodes or maybe each episode should of been around 45 mins to give more time to set things up. I already liked new husks voice and I like him even more now that he has had more time to grow on me. I think this is an improved voice at this point. he was rather generic prior. I never took issue with Valentino's voice because I totally feel that his Spanish accent is just part of his fake persona. & when he gets mad who he truly is bleeds though. Drops the mask. I am also a big fan Sir Pentious! Zestial and his lore I am very interested to find out more about!

One detail I realized that the start of episode 4 is the fact that angel dust was using his pilot design I was kind of a knot to the fact that it's something that happened before the story

i was literally watching the episode with my girlffiend(that is nonfan) but liked the show, and when velvet & carmilla duet song finished she didn't said anything or any word but I literally was screaming inmerly of cringe "no more songs please" and that next one just started and it was so abrupting and randomly forced, i bet she was in her mind like please quit me this thing or skip it at least. LOL
