The H-King P-51D Mustang "Moonbeam McSwine" is based on a Mustang built in 1944 and flown by Captain William T. Whisner. Whisner joined the 487th Fighter Squadron which was part of the 352nd Fighter group based in Bodney, England. This group became affectionately known as the "Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney". Capt. Whisner was credited with 15.5 aerial victories during World War II which made him a triple ace, an outstanding achievement. The Mustang was one of the iconic US fighters from this era: it was cheap to build, had long-range, fast, maneuverable, and would take a lot of punishment.

A heavier battery than what is recommended in the manual us a must with this model. If you had used the recommended size you would have had a model that flew like it was tail.heavy, even though the c of g would have been as per the manual. It's a strange model, as Blaz says.."twitchy.?" . I say "sensetive." It needs lots of expo on the elevator. But lovely to fly when you get used to it. However its not one for a novice flyer. Great video Robert and Blaz. Thanks for posting.

Robert.,- The motor angle is the reason. Fly this bird fast, it goes straight. Fly slow with low on throttle it noses up. When you remove the motor and the motormount on the wood firewall, there is a wedge between the firewall and the mount, you can edit this with a file. And add flaps (+5% elevator trimm) so you can land nearly in walking speed.

Yeah, the Hawker Tempest looks really sexy in the air. I also have this plane and i love to fly it 😃 But, my Tempest flyes also sometimes a little strange. Sometimes she want to climb much, and sometimes she is diving to much . I use a 3s 1100 mAh Batterie and 40 gramms weight all the way forward. I think i will try next time a little less weight ( 30 gramms ). Maybe she is diving not so much than 🤔😉 But however, it`s a really beautiful plane and much fun to fly. Big Salute 🙂

I have thos plane and love it, it Flys really well when balanced slightly nose heavy. My concern is I can't seem to find a spare propeller. Anyone know of a good spare size and pitch?

Good looking bird, I reckon smaller birds are a wee bit touchy. Got it in the air. Congrats! Later!

its a nice plane but if you break the prop finding a replacement is almost impossible, nothing fits but hobbyking stuf that is never in stock.
