Love the Hondas they run great and the fuel burn is unbelievable. I got friends with the same boat running Suzukis and burning 20-30 more gallons than me a trip. 🤙

Yup..give marlins respect when they want to go you ain’t holding them back, I’ve used to drag um till they glide …the hardest fought ones are usually trolling…great going on the otados too 👍🏼

Wow. Nice fish and forgiving sea state to fight it. Those lit up colors are so amazing… Flying in from LAX on 11/9 and Ryder’s is always my first stop. Will definitely pick up a tee there if there are any left. 🤙🤙

@@RAHfishing good for you! It’s never that way in Nauru tuna goes for 7-15$/kg, marlin 4-5$/kg all sold locally, we don’t have an auction or anything like you have in Hawaii.

Hey nick have you done a video of your outrigger set up, are your lines in clips(with rubber bands or Dacron loops etc.and your flatlines are in transom clips or something too? Also how far are your long and short rigger lines back? I assume you have them marked somehow.

I got a video of when I originally set them up, but I never did edit it. Its on my hard drive. Yes all my lines are marked to save time. My riggers are 60 arm spans and my short riggers are 40 the inside is just eye ball 🤙

@@RAHfishing thanks Brother! Are you lines run to clips, rubber bands, tag lines or how do you attach yours. I made some homemade riggers and really liked using them, should have done it years ago, so I recently switched them to some bases that make them more movable and was thinking about trying to run all my lines from the riggers. It’s coming into marlin season in Nauru, so I want to be ready. Do you use tag lines for tuna trolling? I know the marlin guys prefer them for hooking up marlin on trolled lures.

Yo congrats for the marlin !! you should try to make more circles while you are reeling back the marlin and when she is close to the boat make circle so she doesn’t go into your engin, then gaffe it, and stone it, this how we do it in tahiti French Polynesia 💯🤙🏽

For sure thanks. We normally just try to go about 3 knots and swim them next to the boat. But everytime we did that she would dive for the engine at the last minute. Thats what made this one so difficult. Thanks for the helpful advice 🤙

Why do most of your videos is catching aku. You have so much resources to be more productive and cost efficient staying out on longer trips overnight ahi. You travel long distance for little catch.
