Having Hair vs. Being Bald - My Experience

A guy named Saul wrote me and asked if I would make a video sharing my experience as an obviously balding guy vs. being a guy with a nice hairline. Does having hair really make that much difference in the way people treat you? This is just my experience.
If you could use some hair loss hope I hope you'll subscribe to this new KZread channel. I've started it to share my story as well as the stories of other guys who are taking control of their hair and achieving the look they want with the open minded and positive perspective they need.

I went through puberty with acne, braces, bad hygiene, never got haircuts, and wore glasses. I cleaned it all up in college. Clear skin, hair cut, clean, ditched the glasses, grew a bread, got muscles, and tattoos. The entire world around me changed because of how much better I was treated. Appearance is the ultimate privilege. People complain about racism, sexism, homophobia etc etc but the number one inequity in how people are treated is attractiveness.

Maybe we should just straight up be honest with people about it because most of the world isn’t going to react favorably to it, sadly. Just jump on propecia ASAP. Same experience here I’m muscular, tattoos, nice looking guy and use to have a head full of thick hair girls use to find all kinds of dumb excuses to talk to me and people treated me a lot more openly and less cautious. The minute I shaved my head with beard trimmers so there is still a shadow not even bic razor bald due to the bald spot on top of my head getting worse I haven’t had a girl try and talk to me in almost 5 years that wasn’t on the internet (I almost always have a hat on in all my pics). Sex life went from 100 to zero literally and everybody tells me I look mean, abusive or like an asshole now. I posted a pic attached to my dna results for my ancestry the other day and someone said I look like I break kneecaps for people. People associate baldness with anger and aggression it makes people want to run from you. You can literally feel the uneasiness when you walk in the room from other people. Idgaf what anybody says going bald is the fatal blow of the century. When I get some more shit taken care of investment wise that I have planned for the near future out of the way I’m getting a hair transplant for sure I’m done with being bald this shit sucks.

Excellent video. Every word you said resonated with me, and it has all been my experience as well. I was nodding my head the entire time. I lost my hair when I was 22. Went norwood 7 at that age actually..I shaved it off for 6 years, and while I was confident, fit and friendly, I became invisible. It wasn't an internal thing. I am very observant and perceptive, and I could literally see other people reacting to my bald external appearance in an unfavorable way. I got two hair transplants, but they didn't give enough density. I don't think anyone who is above norwood 5 should get a transplant. I'm now 33 years old, and I've been wearing a hair system for the past year. Best decision I made. I just wish i did it sooner...but it is what it is. People and especially women definitely react much more positively. I'm the same guy inside. I'll never go back to being bald. Keep doing what you do man. Huge respect.

Having a full head of hair I think make u better looking, and better looking people seem to have more opportunities, attention etc, in work and life in general. Yes. There's very much an objective benefit to having hair as well, like mathematical stuff. The best transplant docs will state how hair benefits the proportions of a person's face, frames the face, enhances facial features (or makes up for lacking facial features), adds youthfulness, etc... QOVES Studio is a pretty large youtuber who does break downs on celebrity faces and what makes them attractive, and hair/hairlines do play a big role in many good looking male actors. Take Tom Holland for example, he is a young looking guy, but he is 25 (same age as me who has norwood 3). Imagine if he was norwood 2-3, it would likely take him down many levels. He's supposed to be a high schooler, a pretty boy, but having noticeable hair loss with such youthfulness is flat out not a good look.

For 11 years, I tried so hard to like being bald, and I just absolutely hate it. EDIT: I would like to say as well... the idea of choices are very limited IMO. Concealer is never going to look real. A good wig costs lots of money and does come off eventually so it is not permanent. A hair transplant costs thousands and can look awful. The only one that sounds somewhat okay is micro blading but even then that is just to make it look like the baldness was a choice.

Yes I did all three. Shaved my head and felt suicidal every minute with it. Had Bad Transplants and got scarred so badly that I had to wear wigs for 14 years then had corrective surgery and now still want more hair. The wigs could actually look natural and I got laid a lot with them but they were a pain in the butt to keep on. Think Andre Agassi. I was able to swim, work out have sex and so on. The issue was that when you got them wet they felt like a wet band aid. You had to go in private and reglue them even though mine was bonded. It sure beat the hell out of looking like a freak with the bad scarring and all though. Thank God I did the corrective surgery. It is a far cry from great but you know what? I agree anything for me is better Than bald. To Hell with those who say Just shave it and work out. Been there, did that. Not for me Thx. You are correct Bald is not a one size fits all answer. My father was 57 when he started wearing hair and he was the eldest of 4 brothers. Others said he looked the youngest because the others were all bald. There is truth to what you say and of course I truly believe that the Story of Samson and Delilah is 1000000% True! Without hair I felt like a crazy person who could not concentrate on anything. I would look in the Mirror hundreds of times a day and Hated, Hated it. Never again!! Love Hair!! The more the Better!!

  • @PowerRedBullTypology

I would say masculine faces look better bald than feminine faces. With more feminine faces, their appear lies in the "pretty" component, which basically is the same sort of appeal that women and children have. Those look "pretty" too. If a man looks more masculine in face, like david beckham or sean connery, then it matters less if they are bald, because 'pretty' is not what makes them appealing. If a face like Leonardo or Bieber is bald, it looks as odd as a bald child or a bald woman, which instantly loose their appeal when being bald. It seems you got it backwards

I guess experiences differ man. I was 20 y.o., when I went short with hair(1cm) coz of balding(even though I had enough of density and fairly good hairline, so it was more of internal problem). And in 4 months I went from 1cm to 0.1cm. And in another 8 months I started shaving. However got me some minox, so I could improve my facial hair and it improve drastically. And from that point, girls, as just generally other people were treating me much better than when I was with hair(and I had a good haircut and knew how to style that shit). I am not saying, that shaving is a magic for everyone and that it would look good on everyone, BUT I myself personally ended up in much better place with shaved head. p.s. I also started to look older than I really am, coz of the head. Completely fine with that.
