Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
SP1 upgrade and service guide part 3.
Dave only has a couple of hours spare to work on his bike, so he's tackling a couple of clean up jobs, to make the Honda shine a bit brighter.
Keep watching to see all the details for Dave's servicing and upgrades.

Evening Dave, never enough time for everything, but we enjoy everything you do show us….👍🇮🇲👌
Cheers - this is such a great guide - I've got one - No#67 out of Hamamatsu Japan, love it. Working on it is great, it's so well thought out - HRC were really on top of it in those days.
I could watch these videos all day 👍
Great video Dave. A full card on the innuendo bingo in just 8 minutes as well. 😂
Great as always, looking forward to the next one.
Great to have met you at Amroy and which i would have had the 3 Stroke out
Hi dave another great episode, if the exhaust is full stainless steel please polish it looks dreadful as it is , I know it along job but so worth it in the end, also the clamps need a clean mate road bike or not ......😊

On stainless I’ve had a fair amount of success with harpic toilet cleaner and solvol autosol, not as long as most methods and come up nice
This is exactly what I’m doing with my old rsv mille wish me luck on the old Italian 🇮🇹😂

I salute your choice sir, carry on!
Excellent Dave, looking forward to the rear shock episode
Another great video
Another work day today. Zen now restored, thank you.😌
Dave great video as you would expect. Whilst my suspension was off getting serviced I took the liberty of removing the exhaust and cleaning with harpic bleach the polished as she looks like new. So did the engine casing too.
Fantastic series so far, and i am Shure that they will continue in the same vein.
Common failts nobody tells you about. Some fuel tanks have a thin point at the hinge underneath and a bit of rust makes a tiny hole and you get fuel leak. I treated the inside of the tank. Also the left radiator crushes itself sometimes at the bottom bracket and leaks coolant, might be worth investing in a set of new ones, the aftermarket ones are top quality and work well.

Very handy to know
Domed nuts are a good idea on exhaust studs cos they keep the crud out!
Lovely to see HRC in the castings… amazing how a bike with the same heritage and build quality as an RC30 or 45 is still quite affordable.

The last proper HRC bike, and about the only one I can afford 😂

@@obsession_engineering me too..had one about ten years back..paid 3k then after two years sold if for 3.5k.. had a Doohan repsol scheme on it.. it was well done but, think it devalued it a bit.

Great channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Spiffing darling
Uve got some patiene sir
That 2 into 1 into 2 design again isn't the greatest for exhaust gas flow is it! Also those 1/4" socket wobbly ends are brilliant for undoing and fitting bolts on a Panigale V4 too! A painful weekend that was fitting an akrapovic! But beat paying the dealers £1400!

Not sure yet. Bsb will be keeping me busy but hoping to get some racing in too
Great but what was for dessert 😂
This is one tidy bike, and it’s only going to get better. If I lived close enough I’d definitely be asking you to fettle my bike, attention to detail is first class 👍
I'll be interested to know if you'll overhaul the stock rear shock. (If possible) or just replace it. I did spy in your workshop what looks like a gas pressurisation tool.

Keep watching to see the stock shock improvements 😁
LOL, my 2001 Gixxer has bolts that go in the head ergo everything is covered without having to deal with studs... ;-) I'd say better than a Honda...
Great classic bike Dave! Whilst you were cleaning the exhaust headers, did you happen to loosen the rear shock bolts? Good show chap!

Choke cable on a SP1? Is it not injected? I don’t recall my mates having a choke cable

I don’t believe ‘penetrating’ fluid does anything, it’s doesn’t penetrate and has little to no lubrication properties… still doesn’t stop me using it, its a habit and makes me feel I have done everything possible to stop shearing a bolt or stud off 😂

Having taken apart old gas turbines, I can vouch for penetrating fluid. It really does work!! Especially plus gas. In the good old days Pepsi was surprisingly good too, but they took all the good stuff out
Theres 100s of "how to" video's on pootube about fairly banal subjects like polishing pipes. To make them watchable & interesting is quite a trick. Ive been watching you over the years and youve really honed your skills fairplay. Which is harder? Presenting & compiling a good video or trashing a bike around corners????
