Wow, that was impressive when Punny grabs the arm of the older girl and tells her to say "Thank You" to Troy for the gifts she received. Punny has very Good manner's and a grateful heart for such a young girl. She is a real keeper Troy and deserves your respect. She just seems like such a happy kid, always a big smile in an economic hardship that would make any American kid frown and cry day and night. @@brewzkee , I believe i would have to agree with you on that. It is unfortunate, but every child should be treated fairly. I saw the parents getting involved and it had absolutely nothing to do with the parents. Troy and danat, were doing a good job without the parents help. Situations like this make the people who want to help, have second thoughts about the whole thing.

She lives in so much poverty we in the west would not understand the hardships... it just comes with life in these areas... Troy would be seen as some super wealthy foreigner, so her eyes light up when she sees him... an opportunity not to be wasted... such is life when you're in constant desperation.

@@smdnsnnd7254 , i can totally agree. We, here in the U.S. take a lot for granted. My wife is frim a village in Thailand. Everytime we send money to her family, they are so happy. We dont send much, but 500 dollars U.S. in thaibat they can live comfortable for 2 months. I feel for her and the rest of those children.

Troy, I don’t mean to be negative, but you’re not helping anybody here. Cambodian children’s (those in poverty) situation is very sensitive. For a start, you need to STOP immediately taking these kids out without their parents. Presuming you’re not doing anything nefarious, you’re teaching them to think this is OK. (Previous video you had 3 little girls alone in a tuk tuk with you) Secondly, 1 day visits with small money handouts do not help them. They just teach reliance upon charity. You alone won’t be causing a problem, but you and the 100’s/1000’s of other people thinking they’re doing good soon add up to these families becoming dependent upon the donations. If you want to help these kids for real, instead of making poverty porn videos for best engagement, reach out to me and I can guide you where the help is most needed and where you won’t be putting kids at risk.

No doubt I’ll get loads of people having a go in the comments. Bring it on. I have lived here for 7 years and done countless number of reach out missions to help families and kids in need in the way they actually need help… without needing to blast it all over KZread (or ever be alone with the kids! That’s just a BIG no no). Admittedly I have 2 videos up, but they are for our school foundations website.

I’m sorry, but Danat being your “assistant” is highly concerning too. For a start she should be in school, secondly she should be accompanied by one of her parents. Presuming it’s all entirely innocent and you’re trying to simply do good, you should be protecting yourself. I am sure if this is the case you will take my comments with the intent they were made. If you want to do good, you’ll be concerned if you are doing it the wrong way.
