    i think it needs to be centered around those 5, but not always them. Last night I would've taken out possibly Wiggins or Dray and put in TJD. THe lack of size in the paint allowed Harden to easily force double teams, leaving one man in three or back cut. We saw Norman Powell abuse that and hit like 4 straight threes. Even without PG or Kawhi down the stretch, Kerr made no adjustments, TJD would've been a much better paint presence and not force doubles every time, so Dray and others can stick to their man

    Makes sense if you play small ball, you should be running more often. The fresher legs of Kuminga and Podz revived Kerr's system. And Steph will always run up and down, but Looney and Klay are best fit off the bench to provide control when the pace needs to be slowed down. The return of Chris Paul will give us a glimpse of what this team is fully capable of.

  • @fk-cz8pz

    @fk-cz8pz

    3 ай бұрын

    Bench lineup of CP3, Gary Payton, Klay, Saric, and Looney would work pretty well. CP3 and Looney can work PnR cuz Looney can set good screens, CP likes that mid-range elbow shot that gets him in rhythm. Pick and pop with Saric, who can also make good passes from the top of the key. GP plays like a big and is pretty athletic so he can attack the basket and cut. Klay is the spot up shooter who can also cut. The problem with Looney being in the starting lineup was Wiggins and Kuminga are slashers so they need room to cut. Same with Curry because they always play him top side so he can’t get a DHO into an open shot, so needs the lane open for back cuts. CP3 works with the bench lineup so they can slow the pace down and he has his PnR and PnP bigs with a shooter and some athleticism

    Could you help diagnose why the Warriors haven't been able to close in the 4th? Seems to have been an issue this entire season (most clutch games in the league, and 17-19 in that span), and even in this 8-2 stretch, huge leads have been blown. Are there lineups that are more prone to giving up leads? Is their lack of size a factor? Which players are a liability and a plus on defense?

Sprinkle in some GP2, Dario, Santos, etc. as needed and the bench should have more than enough sustain while Curry rests.

    Most people have been fooled like this. GSW did the exact thing a couple seasons ago, losing multiple road games/home games (i forget which one but it was being talked about) but I knew it was all a ploy to keep the players rested or a brilliant coaching scheme to have opponents fall asleep on them.

    Basically they need Draymond stop being suspended for muggings, bench Klay for Podz, Wiggins motivated on D by Dray barking at him, and team defense late in games.

    STOP GIVING KLAY SO MANY MINUTES STEVE KERR YOU MONSTER

  • @perry9262

    I don't think they have magically figured it out --- they made the move they had too --- Wiggins and Klay playing poorly made the lineup shift something people have been asking about for a while. This team has an emerging player, Kuminga, who is basically the reason they are winning. But his expanded role will be emphasized by the rest of the league. A five game winning straak is great, but their margin for error is so low that the loss to the clips pushed them back below 500. What no one is saying during this run is 5 in a row is the beat run they've had since the first 10 games of the season. This team still has lot aof questions --- I'm not convinced at all.

    True, but a big part of that loss to the Clips was Kerr's insistence on keeping Klay in the closing minutes.

    Kerry’s coaching is the reason we’ve been so bad. Giving more playing time to friends rather players who have been playing winning basketball.

    Hi Coach, hope you can do a breakdown of the recent Philippine Basketball Association Finals series like you did before. SMB gone 2-0 with insane 3pt shooting, then Magnolia tightened defense and overhauled its offense by doing mostly middle jumpers and floaters, going 2-2. SMB won 4-2 with a cinderella comeback in Game 6. hope you can consider this series! thank you

    I think the biggest difference might be Draymond being way more like himself again. He's more patient and his passes are way more accurate. And despite his shooting potentially being a fluke, it feels like he always hits the first three he takes in a game. Even if he can't be super consistent, I do believe he can be good enough on those wide open shots to make defenses guard him a little more, and that's really all he needs to do there.

    I'll only believe they've "figured it out" when Klay stops getting closeout minutes. He should be brought in for spot up shooting and that's IT. Get him out of the closing lineup. Hopefully last night's loss to the Clippers will finally convince Kerr of that.

    I think Steve couldn’t hold back the months of very specific criticism from the fans because he finally did the things we’ve virtually forced him to do. Now just finish the job by getting TJD and Moody a little more time. Even less Looney and Klay
