The question is not "IF IT HAS been changed'; the question should be 'IS IT STILL being changed'. I was watching the Muslim Cow boy channel and he has a video clipping showing a Torah with some missing verses in newer version e.g. going from verse 21 to 23 and looking at older versions finding the verses; one of the verses was regarding Fasting being prescribed.

Out of our love to God, muslims love all of His prophets equally Ishmael& Isaac PBU them both. But if others insist on denigrating one of Abrahams sons, then Islam challanges all bible believers by correcting the bible edited sacrifice story. If you believe in bible, this is a challenge for you from bible itself: Since his parents were promised by God before the birth of Isaac that he shall be multiplied& kings from his off spring according to Genesis 17:17& 17:19, then were is the sacrifice or any test at all in Abraham taking Isaac to the slaughter, when he already knew Isaac shall live to make him grandchildren? We know you cannot answer this obvious forgery by the scribes in what used to be holy scripture, changing the name of Abrahams only son for 14 yrs as the logical sacrifice son, as per the Torah principle in Gods promise being always with your eldest son even if you hated his mother for those who married 2 wives according to Deut 21:15. The Noble Quran not only corrects that bible corruption, the Noble Quran brings back what was deleted from bible: The belief in the concept of an afterlife- totally eliminated from the Jewish bible (1st five books). May be these people don't want to return to see God! To know God is to love Him and want to go back to God& meet Him in the afterlife- enter His house- paradise What's worse for christianity in particular, is that the writer of NT Hebrews 11:17 links the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross to that of his father Isaac, which is a forgery. Hence Jesus was never crucified. Therefore, read the Book of God, the Noble Quran instead of corrupted books men who don't want to meet God messed with& took out the belief in the afterlife from it, that bible leads not to God but to loss for eternity, sadly

With the spread of the Internet, the facts about Christianity and Judaism, revealed at the academic level by their own academics, have become accessible to everyone. As Muslims, I hope we use this opportunity provided by Allah wisely. I hope that we can appeal to their hearts and minds by presenting these facts in as modest and academic manner as possible. Otherwise, I think God will hold us accountable for this. In this respect, Paul, what you are doing is very valuable. May Allah bless you.

This is so wonderful. Especially for the Muslim world as we have been quite remote to Judaism for a long time. I was also quite impressed by the mention of Tafseer-e-Asadi. For quite some time I had this kind of longing that if I ever had to recommend a tafsir of the Holy Quran to a Jewsih person, I would recommend Tafsir-e-Asadi. The reason being that Muhammad Asad, the respectable interpreter, was a Jewish convert to Islam. So I had a feeling that he may have interpreted the Holy Quran from his unique vantage point of his religious background. I came across this precious bit of knowledge through a colleague of mine a few years ago. Another important interpretation of the Holy Quran could be Tafsir-e-Majidi. The reason being that the interpreter of this, Hazrat Majid Darya-Abadi, was a staunch atheist before he converted to Islam. He was from India. And this is the best channel that can explain a lot of epistemology about religious ideas for the whole world.

So I'm just wondering if there were discrepancies in the Torah then why didn't Jesus correct or comment on them? Completely genuine question here; Not trying to offend anyone with my lack of knowledge. I've been researching Islam for over 6 weeks now and my eyes have been opened to many many things. The question that whether Tohra has been changed is irrelevant, because Qur'an clearly mentions that Tawrah, zabur and Injil are words of God and it cannot be changed, for God will not allow this. Moreover, the corruption Qur'an is talking about is not the contamination in the Bible, but the misinterpretations of Bible verses made by Jews and Christian clergy, for example, the concept of Trinity is justified by clergy by misinterpreting Bible verses. Hence, corrupting the actual meaning of Bible. If a Muslim says Bible is corrupted then he is actually questioning the ability of God to protect his word.

Samuel Al Maghribi gives an interesting theory in his polemic "Ihfam Al Yahud". He argued that the morally questionable portrayal of the prophets/patriarchs is a hint of textual distortion. According to the Torah, the bloodline of David goes all the way back to Lot's incestuous daughters. Israelite tribes were fighting over the legitimacy of religious and political succession ever since the split of Solomon's kingdom. Especially Levites, the tribe of priests were at odds with Judaites (David's lineage). Ezra, the levite scribe who's credited with "restoring" Judaism after the first sacking of Jerusalem, wanted to discredit Judah (among other stuff) and thus authored the current "Torah" to fit their agenda.

The Torah that Jews/Christians have doesn't present itself as God's word to begin with. It just presents itself as a pseudopigraphical (like almost all bits of the Bible) sacred record of things that happened. God is not the author, only a "character" presented within it. Whereas God is the author and sole speaker of the Qur'an. There is no ambiguity in this subject, only fundamental misunderstanding from Jews and Christians about not only the nature and history of their own texts but of ours as well.

In the Quran, it is narrated that when Prophet Moses received the Torah from Allah, the Israelites were unwilling to obey it. In response, Allah threatened to drop a mountain on them if they refused to obey the Torah. Despite such a warning, not everyone obeyed. Their attitude towards the Torah was negative from the beginning, so I'm not surprised if they didn't take good care of it. "And remember when We took a covenant from you and raised the mountain above you, saying: "Hold firmly to that Scripture which We have given you and observe its teachings so perhaps you will become mindful of Allah." Yet you turned away afterwards. Had it not been for Allah's grace and mercy upon you, you would have certainly been of the losers." [Quran 2:63-64]

I've been reading this too! It's a fascinating commentary. Their commentators admit to a lot of inconsistencies, anachronisms and textual integrity that is existent within the text. I'm only still in the book of Genesis. EDIT: Paul is only 'touching' on some of the issues, the commentary points out A LOT.

Well. After the last Ice-age the first country was Palestine. It comes from Palaios Litos Stine. (Aprox 10500 BCE) and that was the beginning of the Homo Erectus. Phillistines means Son of the Stone Age. The first cities were built in the Phillistines. ( Sodom and Gomorrah ) were destroyed by people whome were Homo "something" a nomad tribe without a king from Alkebulan. And this is written in hieroglyphs in Egypt. Israel was a person and where the Jews come from ( what they say ) is made up from different historical things from all different places and people. it's not even Jesus Christ depicted on the Cross. If you want to know more of whatabout we are lied to. It is all to control people by a public opinion , a world order. There are soo many lies it will blow your mind. But if you know the truth so many pieces fall together..... and history becomes like a really good book and then you'll know about whom stole from who and understand lots of things the Nasa knows and why the Nasa is still using very old formulas to control everything instead of Einstein theory bs ;)

Few (hopefully useful) observations:- - One of the names of The Holy Quran is The Criterion (thus being the “yardstick”) by which the other earlier Scriptures can have the veracity of their contents evaluated / determined - The Holy Quran was Revealed about 1500 years ago - which is hundreds of years after the 3 other Scriptures mentioned by their names within the Quran (Taurat, Psalms and the Injeel) which together constitute The Holy Bible (along with other unmentioned Biblical books) - In several places within the Holy Quran Allah (SWT) encourages the believers to believe in the earlier Scriptures. One clear example is at the beginning of Sura Bakarah where the various characteristics of the “successful” (believers) is listed. In this list, two of these characteristics are clearly stated as those “who believe in what was Revealed unto thee (referring to the Holy Quran that was being Revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings be upon him and his family) and what was Revealed before thee” (referring to those earlier Scriptures). - Thus, by the above, it can be logically understood that Muslims need to believe both in the Holy Quran and also in earlier Scriptures (except for any text that directly contradicts the Quranic text). - Also as the Quran was Revealed in about 610-630 C.E. the texts of the earlier Scriptures that were available at that time must have had sufficient Truth within them to render them as being both worthy and necessary for Muslims to believe in them (thus also necessitating Muslims to read them) as they were preceding Scriptures to the Holy Quran Hope the above provides some helpful information

Dear brother Paul. May Allah increase your knowledge and rank for your efforts. I would like to briefly touch on Muhammad Asad whom you introduced along with his English translation and commentary of the Quran. There is an 8 volume critical study of Muhammad Asad only available in the Turkish language written by Mehmet Emin Akın. Although I haven’t read it, I have watched lectures by sheikh M. Emin Akın that can be accessed in KZread where he provides detailed explanations of his work. He touches on his biography, family history, various travels and adventures around the world and most importantly, the transformations he underwent in relation to his Islamic methodology and approach. In Turkey amongst the academic circles and those who read a lot, he is revered and held in high esteem. The purpose behind sheikh M. Emin Akın undertaking a painstaking and monumental work of critique of Asad was to expose his ‘deceptive esoteric (batiniyyah) methodology when commentating on the Quran of which he gives ample evidence. Suffice to say that he doesn’t present a rosy picture of Asad and I just wanted to put this out there so that English readers of his work should simply be cautious when reading his commentary. May the peace and blessings be upon you brother Paul.

Yahweh is described as one of the sons of El in Deuteronomy 32:8-9, but this was removed by a later emendation to the text. If the general line of interpretation is correct, El, not Yahweh, was the original god of the Israelites who came out of the land of Egypt. Only later, under the impetus of contact with the southern tradition of Edom, does Yahweh come to be associated, and then assimilated, with El.

Humanity has never changed and never will change because it can't. To understand the Jewish's Tora and the Bible, we must see and understand the people in those books, starting with Moses, as people no different from us. If anybody would tell us the same stories today, we would not only do not believe but we would laugh at those invented stories, believed in those ancient times by people with inexistent culture. I think that is time that people wake up. God is in us, everyone of us. To live an healthy and happy life, we have to learn God's and our body languages. I guarantee peace of mind and good health. Christians say it is about Jesus (pbuh) - but Jesus (pbuh) was not hated by mankind/many, Christians believe that his death saves them while Isaiah 53 says the wound is not death, and it is also said that his life will be prolonged that he will be able to see his offspring - so it cannot be about Jesus what Christians believe. While Jews say it is about Israel Personally as a muslim, since Jewish Bible is proven changed, that means some parts may have been changed so much that it is not possible to tell what it means anymore, so Isaiah 53 does not matter. What matters more is the fact that Christianity is wrong about Jesus - which is proven, and that Jewish Bible had been changed, which is also proven

Oh, this one is easy. Deutero Isaiah writes 4 servant songs, 4 descriptions of the servants of God. The problem is that the Christians want to claim that this SERVANT of God... is himself God. Isaiah 40 and on are contextually interrelated. If the Christians want to claim that Jesus is God because of 53, then he's also the Servant of God because of all the rest

Thank you for the explanation about the Torah as my own research with archaeology your explanation was of great benefit that I already knew but I have not had time to study the Quran yet and now take time to hear the words and thoughts of the Quran . My question is humans have been on the earth longer than 5, 000 years and why did the LORD take so long to reveal to humans sooner than the exodus as the Jews worshiped YAWEH while in bondage in Egypt? Could you please discuss Zoroastrianism that originated in Persia still practiced today but only we few in the western world have knowledge and I had a patient 15 years ago in my community that I drove and waited for her cancer treatments then drove her home and she was very surprised that I had knowledge of her religion. Thankfully I was always free to read anything I wanted since 11 as my parents were not raised in any religion and had only one living grandparent that I barely had contact with since moving away from state my family lived in Montana Territory in ‘53. My entire life happiness is a huge library for continuous learning with creation on the internet that I must turn off to sleep. I have never feared death always felt I was loved by something other than a human thus have always had contentment in my soul that I try to impart to others that I meet.

God says in the Quran that there are many prophets that were not mentioned to us. Also, Adam knew of God and his offspring as well. Adam is considered the first prophet to humanity (in Islam) since he taught his children about God. As for other religions.. many have appeared (as it is the nature of humans to go off the right path and worship things other than God). That's why God sent prophets and messengers to humanity, to keep them on the right path. This is just a very short summary but I hope it helps.
