Yes. SF6 is after the events of SF3 and there are no SF3 characters in the roster... Capcom big fail here

@@EijiShinjo48 TBF SF3 wasn't really well received initially and took years for folks to grown to like SF3 characters vs how positive the reaction was to SF6 characters. They'll probably bring them back but doubtful.

There are other characters that fans request to be put in SF6 but they have there priorities straight on who's gets in and who doesn't regardless who are they're favorites or not.

@@ethanfuego9648 Look at what the “main characters” that Capcom are forcing on us ever since SF2. SF3’s Alex is blonde and white. So is Abel in IV. Luke started as blonde. The funny part is none of them ever lasted as much as Ryu.

He didn't fallow Ken in his Crypto Investments and they parted ways.

Sean was apparently supposed to have been a joke character, SF3's Dan. Him being a student he was supposed to be sloppy with his moves. But in New Generation and Double Inpact they accidentally made him a good character, so by Third Strike they realized their mistake and absolutely gutted him. Even in later entries he's still treated as a joke, even if Dan's already on the roster. I really hope if he does return in SF6 he's not treated as a joke character anymore, because he worked better as a serious character instead of a joke.

But, that's the point of Sean and Sakura. They're supposed to be Ken and Ryu's bad joke students who they don't even really truly want to teach but reluctantly sort of do in ways. By the time of SF6, they should be more skilled (or have given up entirely, but I doubt Sean or Sakura would just give up). Plus, while Dan has improved himself over time, Sean and Sakura definitely have more talent than he does. If Dan never fully gave up, why would Sean or Sakura?

Sean was shown in Street Fighter 6 Artwork in Luke's Ending, Ken talking about Him in World Tour (Including Blanka the green monster fighter who call Sean and Laura a Friend when they met Blanka for his Blanka Chan Dolls go straight to Japan in SFV and Shown Guile's Friendship bond pic 1 at the concert its shown Him and his Sister at the Dee Jay's Concert). Even tho i glad that Ending in Laura's SFIII Ending is Officially Canon to shown Sean winning the Tournament. Im glad I'm new to Sean Matsuda as a Character this year. When i first play Street Fighter III Trilogy. ❤️👍🏽

I hope they do re-imagine him. Story-wise, have him be more mature and experienced a fighter now. Game play-wise find a balance between his op-ness in 2nd impact and how he was a joke of a character once they nerfed him into oblivion. Maybe give him one or two totally new moves of his own invention to differentiate him from Ryu/Ken/Luke.

@@SoloEmpireOfficial I think that's a great idea. Maybe Sean could be like a Ryu / Ken hybrid but again still with one or two new 'Sean' spins on it. If Luke gets his own spins on things, Sean definitely should.

One might say Sean is in the game as the create-a-character default, they do look quite similar. Could Sean, the budding martial artist, be the perfect blank slate for all beginning world warriors to paint upon? Maybe!

I would love for Sean to be a direct mirror to Luke as he would be the Ken to Luke’s Ryu.

"Eternity" should either be deleted from the game entirely, or shoved to the side as a side character or joke character, but definitely not the first face we see when pulling up SF6 anew. Or, if they're going to insist upon bizarre gender minority representation, at least have us do a practice battle with Eternity at the beginning so that we know they're not a joke.

I really hope the next DLC characters are SF3 centered, with SF6 being the only game post 3. Id be amazing to see Capcom developing them as characters, specially Sean

I suspect Sean will be a season 2 or 3 character. Probably 3 as they probably want to avoid over saturating the cast with shotos. I’m hoping we get 2 3rd strike characters in season 2 though.

Imagine Ken's story in Street Fighter 6, he meets Sean as a student at his gym, and their bond could've been what get Ken's spirits up again.

I always liked Sean…if Dan can be in all these SF games, they need to bring back Sean

Actually, this is an interesting observation. I feel like everyone would have accepted If Sean had become the new poster boy in the recent SF games. He was introduced in 3, got trained by Ken, worked on his craft, and ultimate comes back to win a tournament. Would make for a feel good story and also his character is just cool. He would've definitely been a better choice over prototypical blonde hair american white boy, Luke.

You can only have so many with similar fighting styles. With Sakura and Dan’s popularity, Akuma on the way, not to mention Gouki returning from the dead it’s hard to imagine he’s getting a spot.

Sean > Luke

Ken does mention Luke in the game in world tour, but they really need to add him in the future. He’d be an amazing addition.

I've always had a soft spot for Sean. Balrog was unlikable and Deejay resembled a minstrel character, it was nice to play a decent black character for a change.

with the continued surge of MMA popularity and how big it is in Brazil with all their legends and current stars and just recently Jose Aldo being inducted in the HOF Capcom can't go wrong with a Sean push.

Sean should be the new protagonist along side with Sakura. Tougher they could be the new duo like Ryu and Ken which has more sense since they are both students of them.

Let's see brown man vs white, blonde with blue eyes. That coupled with the fact that in a lot of anime Blonde hair represents power.

I'll just say the Asian world looks at everything Wht as being right and Blk well you know. And when it comes to Cartoons, Toys, Anime, Video games, Etc, most of these characters would naturally be of Asian decent but are Wht but they need to sell these items to the rest of the world so that's why you get thing's the way they are.

Man I hope they put Sean in SF6 not as a Camio but as a playable character.

Take the SF4 King Cobra concept and fuse it with Sean. Keep his old moves while adding new ones. His basketball setups and combos would be sick.

A little shotokan bjj hybrid would be pretty dope with more strength comfort and confidence in his own style. Give him some feints like basketball and some more command grabs and you’ll really have a character like no other. I really liked how he didn’t have a base fireball either but his super art can be even more powerful and explosive than say Ryus shinku hadoken but make it critical art or something high risk reward

SF6's roster disappointed me big time, world tour mode is literally the only reason I bought it. I need Laura and Elena back ASAP

It does make sense if you consider the world tour mode where you can be the next pupil of ryu and ken thus making sean redundant. Plus laura is more interesting design and fighting style wise.

They are bringing back Elena as one of the DLC characters from 3rd strike. But they need to bring back Sean with awesome blends of the two fighting styles Matsuda fighting style and Shoto fighting style. If they are gonna star bringing back street fighter 3 characters they should start with dudley, makoto, Sean and Alex so that they get the fan favorites along side the popular ones allowing them to introduce people to sf3. This will then allow them to introduce more weird picks like necro or remy for the fans that love them. This way the new generation is filled with street fighter 3 and 6 characters allowing the 6 fighters to be given fanfare and for the 3 characters to get reintroduced with new love

In my opinion, it could have been Sean or Cody that was the protagonist of this game. Sean his style matches Luke’s with strikes and a ground pound and there’s that underdog story and his with SF cast. Cody, because it’s his city that he’s Mayor of that the game is based in, he’s been a protagonist of his own game plus has history with the SF cast.

I can see why they didn’t add him or Sakura or goken or akuma initially as ryu and ken both use the same style but in lil different ways. In a fighting game having characters that are too similar especially in the begging roster kinda feels like a comp out. Maybe later but what can they do to make those guys stand out. Akuma atleast has some dark techniques and Dan has his taunts and funny stuff
