Leonardo here, l was listening to covers done by younger musicians when l came across this one. This one was so good l showed it to my wife Jo. We both love this song. She was holding my phone and wrote the comment which describes my feelings also. I'm sure that there are millions of others of all ages that would appreciate it if they found this video. Watching this in May 2022 and it's bringing tears to my eyes. With all the horrendous things going on in the world today, this makes me feel like I want to just be there, relaxing on that shore, watching the kids and dogs play and listening to this incredible music being played by incredible musicians in the background all day long. +Randy Henry I totally agree. Josh Turner and his crew are some remarkable young musicians. They're paying homage to the icons who inspired them and doing it right. Their own music is excellent, but to hear and see them perform this song in such a reverent fashion gives me more hope for the future of real music. Like, played by human beings!

The music, the chemistry, the atmosphere and background, all just so beautiful.

Neil is still touring and playing with genius musical legends who never stop giving. Neil Young's music is amazing, his lyrics poetic and profound. Genius, deep, and beautiful beyond anything thats going on today. This group was able to keep his original tempo and respect what he created.

This is the greatest cover of any song that I've ever seen. It's not only on par with the original but it actually blows it out of the water.

I’m sure Neil Young would love to have a cup of coffee in his hand and enjoy listening this song by these young artists. He will smile the entire time!

I've watched this cover at least 30 times and still can't believe how they nocked this out of the galaxy. They are so talented.

I actually really like the girl singing the first verse, and the dude the second, it gives the song a whole new meaning, like a couple singing it to eachother, instead of just one to the other.

I've probably watched/listened to this at least 10 times but keep coming back. And not just this, but all of Reina's, Josh's, Toni's and Carson's work. Absolutely wonderful stuff. What a tremendous gift this little posse has given us! I can't thank y'all enough!

It only came out in the early 90s man. Same time that the big bands were RHCP, Nirvana, Metallica and Pearl Jam. Why does it amaze you to see young people playing Neil Young? I Find it amazing, in a more negative way, how many comments I read of people seeming to have their minds blown by the concept of people listening to music from different eras. It shouldnt even warrant mentioning by now. We have the internet where you can browse all music for free at a whim. People dont have to take what they can get from radio and TV anymore. It should be like movies. You can watch a movie from whichever decade and people wont be amazed that the movie isnt from recent times. I wish people were like this with music too.

@@MLFranklin Pretty sure it's only mic'd by that ambient microphone. Couldn't push it any more without blowing out the vocals. I only see 2 microphones - the main picking up everything and the one picking up the drummer's voice. The other pickup plugged into the mic is the bass.

I am a Neil Young fan but I have to say that this is my favorite interpretation of Harvest Moon. These guys are great together but it seems they don't always play together- they should think about doing that. I especially love the voices and the 4 note guitar riffs that run through the song. I'm 72 but I still appreciate a great performance and what a wonderful setting for doing it. I'm surprised that you get such great sound quality doing it outdoors but clearly you know what you are doing! Congratulations and good luck!

There are certain things that are good to be alone and also to be with someone else. Not all of us have the same balance. For me, it weighs on the side of being alone, but not completely. Relationships have their problems too. I'm sure this is no news to you and it's not like I or others haven't had their lonely times. Be yourself. Know that you are special. You have qualities others are not only looking for but also need. From what you wrote I don't know exactly from what angle you're coming from, but having been "there", God always got me through. I don't go to churches for my reasons, but I'm not ashamed of God that I can't deny.

Neil Young is my favourite singer-songwriter and it's always annoyed me when people try and cover his beautiful songs. Am I being unfair? I'm sure I am. BUT you four lovely people have absolutely nailed Harvest Moon 100% for me. Credit where credit's due. Well done guys. Absolutely brilliant.

I've been a fan of Neil Young since his days with Buffalo Springfield, but, one of the great things of his compositions is that they CAN be wonderfully covered by accomplished artists, which make Young's songs even more eternal. Much like Bob Dylan, btw. JMO, of course.

Well of course you are entitled to your feelings and Neil purity test, AND Neil Young wrote some of the more singable songs so it’s hard to resist covering him.

A really good version of this song, but, what makes it so extra special is their hearts that these guys and girls put into this song. They mean it. Not just sing it. The timing is perfect on their instruments and if you are the least bit lonely or least bit sad it will bring tears to your eyes. Listen again and see.............

Josh and Carson are just so cool.

I keep coming back to this one 2 years later in 2022 because everything about this recording and setting is classic and oh so magical ❤️

Who the Hell are these people? They're wonderful! Beautiful clear voices, instrumentation. Just lovely.

The bass player in this is Josh Turner who usually plays guitar or banjo but can play anything, any genre, any song. The other guy is his friend Carson McKee and when they play together they are The Other Favorites. This kid's just got a certain something. Never fails to make me feel good listening to her handle some of the greatest songs of all time with her simple, perfect singing style and guitar playing. Takes to a song like a bird takes to the air; it's just what she does... and Toni Lindgren's no slouch either!

I hear this song for the first time by these great musicians. Neil Young is not very popular in Turkey. Then I watched the original by Neil Young, and it was really touchy. It looks it has effected a generation very deeply. I've been listening to this since the last 40 minutes over and over again and I realized it's extracting the love from your heart and resonates very strongly. It's magical. Maybe the most magical song ever.

May I recommend Neil Young's contemporaries and former collaborators ; Crosby, Still and Nash.

the female vocalist really nailed this, didn't overdo it with too many inflections and dramatics. clean but classy. im really impressed. excellent cover. great vibes.

It puts a smile in my heart to know that there are incredibly talented young people who not only recognize and respect great music, but who are such a great team together because making great music is a team effort. I hope that you appreciate what a high quality team of musicians, and more importantly, what a high quality assembly of human beings you are. Hold onto that team as long as you can. God damn! I’m used to Reina and Toni singing great, then the drummer just hopped in with that beautiful voice. Wow. So nice.

I can tell by the water flow that you guys are on the Oregon side of the Rogue. I used to live along the Coos River during the early 70's, just surfing and partying. This song was a favorite of mine then and still is. Thank you folks SO MUCH !!

That these youngster can pay tribute to Neil Young's classic song is such a compelling way is a reflection on the talent that they have. These guys Are good!!

I hope that the four of you know how much joy and solace this song (and others from you) have brought to so many of us in this pandemic nightmare.

You guys are slowly becoming my favorite band of our times, track by track and chord by chord. Keep playing your music guys, we love you all!

What a beautiful interpretation of Neil’s tune. The mellow harmonica solo was sooooooo smooth ♥️♥️♥️

Everything about this is beautiful. The weather, the place, the sound.

You bring back so many lovely, warm memories. I do hope that when you all look back in your 60s these wonderful videos warm your hearts as much as you do ours. Thank you, incredible performance.

Coming from a 67 yr old die hard Neil Young fan. This sounded really good, the music was on spot. Neil's vocals are always hard to replicate. We are from SoCal. and in April we spent 4 nights in Medford. Our first time in the state of Oregon. Beautiful place to live.

This actually made me tear up. Didn't see that one coming when I clicked.
