Josh Turner is without doubt one of the finest and cleverest musicians of his generation.

I could listen to this over and over and over…. Allison is magic…

Her voice is unique, classic, very special; could listen to her all day. She can make it jazzy, country, 40's, 50's--modern--wow. His guitar and vocal accompaniments are amazing, brilliant as well. Together they are magic.

Allison Young has the clearest voice and takes incredible advantage of the simplest delivery. It's utterly amazing. Of course Josh Turner always pleases on the guitar. Chet would be proud.

New to the channel, I have the Chet and Friends album this tune is from. I had to listen closely to this at first to make sure it wasn't a lip-sync. Allison has Dolly down cold, it is uncanny. It wasn't until Josh sang was I absolutely sure it was a fresh cover. My favorite part of the album is where Dolly plays a guitar lick and says, "All that good part isn't all Chet." Chet then blows us away with some tasty arpeggios. Great job! I'm subbing and sharing.

You know the thing that kills me is Allison’s pitch. Her voice doesn’t even waver with pitch issues. I can’t detect any pitch correction being used. So refreshing. So many singers these days totally squash there vocals with compression & auto tune. Allison is a true talent. Of course your guitar Josh is second to none.

Holy **** -- there's Alison, doing some of Dolly's phrasing, and killing it -- and Josh, picking Chester licks and making it look easy. Yum! More!

That Josh is a musical genius is a given. But that Allison can play guitar so well, in addition to her gorgeous singing, was new to me. What a treat!

That was wonderful. I saw Allison live last night at her PMJ gig outside of Philadelphia. She was the highlight of the show. Her voice just makes me melt.

Excellent! I love to watch Allison’s face when she sings. So expressive.

There's no such thing as perfection.... but this comes pretty close to it!

She has such a angelic voice!

One day spotify suggested me this song out of nowhere and it's weird cause I've never been the biggest fan of Chet nor Dolly. But I'm glad it did cause it's such a great song. Allison has such a sweet voice and the harmonies with Josh were beautiful. Also I love the lead guitar, it's not an easy one to play while also singing. Fantastic duo!

I'm old enough to remember when Dolly Parton was about this same anger. There is a vitality and energy that young people bring to music that is fresh and new. I love this rendition.

I was lucky enough to see Josh in concert several days ago. His talent is just absurd, and this pairing with the magnificent Allison Young brings it full circle for me, as that was the original youtube recommendation that brought me here.

Growing up in the 90s I remember being so excited if I was the first of my friends to get a new CD from an artist we all liked and sharing it for the first time. I get that same feeling sharing these covers that are most often far greater than the originals with my friends today Thank you!

Absolutely love these guys! It's awesome when younger people embrace "older" music. So talented!

So spot on the classic Dolly & Chet recording, the vocals, Josh’s accurate replication of all Chet’s fancy picking’, even the timing is very accurate. Allison’s beautiful voice and tone is a good match to Dolly. One of my favorites now!

Agreed! I hadn't heard this song before. I've listened to the original a couple of times since this video was released and they really nailed it! I like this cover as much as the original, and I love the song. It's my new favorite old song.

Allison's voice is impecable.

I understand how elusive pop/rock musical stardom is and find it so cool that we get to see such incredibly talented individuals via KZread. The world is rich in amazing musicians, vocalist and artist that prior to KZread we would have most likely missed.

Beautiful, Allison's voice and Josh's guitar skill are incredibles. Can't wait for the song with Miles, his voice is out of this world.

WOW. Amazing. If I had to use one word to describe Josh Turner it would be versatile. Is there anything he can’t do musically? Phenomenal cover.

It is a lot of talent reunited. The simple but sophisticated film production, the choice of music, instrument execution, the singing... I don't think I'm exaggerating to say they turned an american music into a world class piece of art.

What more can I say, you came into my recommended videos and now I'm hooked. You're fantastic Josh and so are all the musicians you work with. Brilliant brilliant brilliant

One of the best things about this video (apart from the great musicianing, ofc) is seeing how Josh enjoys playing that bassline part that comes after the breaks (at 0:52 and 2:02). Gives me warm goosebumps.

Exactly that. A sure sign of a musician genuinly being caught up in the moment. And with Josh of course that's (almost) always the case, hence his well-deserved fame!

Flawless! I enjoy Allison's voice - your duets are great! Thank you. I'm delighted to see Myles again, and excited that he's singing opera! He has such a glorious voice!

The single most impressive part of this performance is within the first 2 seconds... "Rolling video, take one." These guys nailed this in one god damn take. Will never get enough of this!

This unusual magic of musical and human harmony touches my heart and makes me extremely grateful and happy!
