Even his supposed flaws are overstated. People keep mentioning lack of pace, but how often do you see him getting rinsed 1v1? Very rarely, if at all. That's because he reads the game very well and has good positional sense. In comparison, Hummels is even slower and has been considered one of the best CB's of the last decade for having very similar qualities to Maguire. If Maguire continues the way he is and the team around him improve with good signings, Maguire's stock will only rise as the team does better.

It's not fifa Bro. It would be a disaster if that happened. That's a whole new team you bought. Grealish yes. Maybe Sancho even though at epl I think it wouldn't be so easy for him and he is too expensive and him being there will block Greenwood from getting minutes. Werner is a big no, it will be a big cultural change for him. We should keep lingard as a sub but the rest should go. He is going through a tough period but trust me he's got a certain flair when he is in form. Axel needs to step up soon. I don't think Fosu Mensah has a future at united, maybe as a ball winning CDM maybe.

He is just calm and doesn't fear strikers. He really showed us what he is in the back line. He is worth the money and I don't think he is overpriced or something like that

His only weakness seems to be agility, but I think that agility is inevitable by the body. If you want to go from a great physique to agility, you have to deny all the laws of physics

The sad thing about Maguire is that he’s fantastic when it comes to defensive set pieces but very poor when it comes to attacking set pieces. On the attack he will constantly make contact with the ball, but he won’t put it on target and if he does it’s usually right at the goalkeeper. Hopefully he’ll grow in the department. If he does then he’ll be as big of a threat as Virgil when it comes to attacking set pieces.

Tbf smalling was class for a couple seasons, unfortunately he got found out when people saw you could just peel around his CB partner.

He's more compatible with Baily out of Lindeloff and Tuanzebe (both have a reserved style of play meaning they don't rush in and tackle or they're style of play is not aggressive like Baily). But I still see United are trying to get De Ligt while we have Tuanzebe on bench if we sell Smalling and Jones We would have Lindeloff, Maguire, Tuanzebe and Baily that's a very quality group of CB's If we do try to purchase a CB I hope it's Demiral

Harry had signed a 5 year contract extension with Leicester a year before United bought him. How much would that have put on his price tag? No one ever mentions that when they mention how much he cost. That's one reason clubs want big players they might lose to sign long contract extensions! He has been more than a CB so far, but clearly nowhere near the player we signed from Leicester. he's a superb CB, imagine he had at least a half as good partner next to him, Lindelof is fecking shite, super week in challenge so he's scared to bring the ball form defence, often losing tackles CB should win and obviously horrible in the air. Hopefully Bailly has an injury-free spell so we see the best of Harry and United defense. Axel seems like a logical partner next to Harry too but well he seems to be made from glass as well. If we sell Jones we should be in the market for a CB IMO, sure we have other areas to improve but having a solid pair of CBs is a must, look what Ferdinand and Vidic built around them. Van Bissaka is our Evra, only just a defensive version of him and Luke a super solid LB, Williams a new Rafael, Laird will be a top RB if he stays injury free, too early for Mengi obviously.. just need that second CB to compliment Maguire.
