Harry Gruyaert

Harry Gruyaert (born 1941) is a photographer known for his images of India, Morocco and Egypt as well as of the west of Ireland[1] and for his use of colour. He is a member of Magnum Photos.[5] His work has been published in a number of books, been exhibited widely and won the Kodak Prize.

    Oh man, I've never seen his work before, I've been in photography for 40 years and these are some of the greatest shots I've ever seen.

    The only avantage of those old guys is to be highly talented and having a pierce eye. The era has nothing to do with the quality of the shots and does not facilitate. Some shots are récent and from our era

    this is reversal film (Kodachrome) and very difficult to replicate digitally (but not impossible)

    These older guys had an immediate advantage as regards to street photography,, they were working in a different era,,, the fashion the cars the shop fronts, the vibrant films and colours all worked in unison and created something really eye-catching and beautiful back then, a moment in time,,, it's harder to find that these days with modern stuff,,, it doesn't always work

    for someone living in that era it wasn't more appealing than today's visuals are for us; maybe if you travelled back in time and showed today's architecture and clothing they would also felt you were very lucky

    his late digital work looks horrible compared to his film work. not talking about "nostalgia" vibes. it's just that his digital work is trash. i don't even think he took those things, might be pics added by the creator of the video. the difference is atrocious.
