Superb, surreal, bonkers, dry wit and just plain excellent comedy and observation. There is no equivalence today.

The spot they’re fishing at (9:50) is the exact spot my grandad made me get into the water to find a propellor that had spun off the model boat he had made.. I was 9 and had to feel around with my feet...in my underwear! The lake is Black Park, close to Iver and Pinewood studios. Just thought I’d add that. :)

I used to go there a lot, too. It brings back a lot of happy memories for me, walking in the beech woods, watching the model boats buzzing around on the lake. My father was the Buckinghamshire County Council Land Agent and was responsible for Black Park, Langley Park and other public spots around the county. Good times.
