This game is super refreshing, super interesting with it's mechanical design, and I'm happy to share a little bit about it with you all.

It happens, especially given the sheer volume of Shmup titles on Switch. It's easy to miss one here and there. Thanks for watching Pam!

I didn’t know this was on Switch! This looks so charming. Easy mode sounds like when I’m trying to diet - everyone all of a sudden is throwing desserts in front of me!

Yeah, man! It's good times for sure. I think a run averages anywhere from 45-53mins from what I've seen online. Thanks for scoping this!

Nice video! Been playing it for a few days now. There are many little secrets in the game, from clearing a certain landscape feature in a level, rescuing little characters, or even just staying in a certain spot until the countdown gives you a massive point bonus. You use the little red balls in the pinball/pachinko minigame. It awards you weapon crafting materials in Quest Mode and just points in Arcade Mode. There are also little tricks to the minigame mode that increase your chances for the highest values. The anchor grapple becomes a necessity in the later levels which I won't spoil here. It's a really fun mechanic that you can also sabotage yourself with if you paint yourself into a corner, lol. Overall this is a wonderful cute-'em-up with lots of replay value.

Thanks for the additional information! I can only imagine how involved the grappling will become and look forward to eventually having more free time for buckling down with games like this.

Played it on Steam (thanks to Gameboy Guru for the recommendation in the last Shoot The Core Cast). Very good game. Fresh and interesting. The harpoon system is clever and well used in this game.

Uncle Ham is in the hoooouse! Yeah, man I also think about Cotton rising her broom, major similarities here. This is fantastic stuff so far and there's a lot more to dig into from what I'm learning. Thanks for commenting man!

Always great having Uncle Scowsh swing by. I'm curious to learn more about what was used to make this one. I also recognize a song in this game that is identical to one that plays in another game I have on Switch.

That's a great question! I haven't played any Cotton games for a few years at this point and I didn't do much with them at the time, so I don't recall all of the ins and outs. Chances are, it's not similar. I think the Cotton game I played had some sort of spell casting system or something like that.
