The 1st of November I bought a V-ROD in So Cal and was riding it to Vancouver WA. I had already😊😊 traversed the most difficult parts of the trip, I only had a couple more hours to reach my destination. While traveling approximately 70mph, I was struck from behind by a car, obviously at a higher rate of speed, sending both me and bike crashing down the highway. It was a pretty rough experience, but amazingly I didn't break anything, and even though I sustained injuries, including a pretty serious shoulder injury, that will probably need surgery. I was very lucky, and could have easily been killed. I only had it a short time, but I loved it and I hope to get another as soon as I recover. Wish I could get a new one, awesome bike.😊😊😊

I own a 2012 V-Rod Muscle…stage one…Hi flow air cleaner, the old Super Tuner, dyno and V&H competition duals. Simple, straight forward and works for me…

My dad just got the 03 100th anniversary v rod but it is quiet. We want to make it louder any suggestions??

hi i got a 07 nite rod specal ,i had bub rinehart juggers for yrs on it very loud , so i cut them , just at the bubs sign on the pipes & added 2 x 400 mm 2 1/2 inch chrome hot dogs & the tips fitted in the end of the dogs , it sounds a lot deeper & less noisy . it looks good two pipes all the way to the end of back wheels . also cut the snorkel off the air box & drilled holes in the cover at the front & took out the triangle plastic bit at the front of bike . it sounds like a harley i was suprised , at 100 kms it just hums

I have an 08 NRS. Came with Supertrapp slip ons with 9 baffle plates. I here 12 plates sounds the best. Decel sounds pretty nasty in a good way.

So I'm looking to buy a muscle this bike has a 2 Into 1 Bassanti pipe will I need it tuned or no bc I really am stumped..

I got my Muscle and could not source a good set of V&H Comps here in the states so I jumped on my Face Book groups and got a real clean set shipped to me from Ireland. Yeah. Bums me out I couldn't get any right from V&H. I am not sure what tuner to go with. I just found your channel and you got a new subscriber.

Thanks and you will love those slip ons! Go the powervision route for a tuner I like mine a lot and tons of options!!

I have a 2012 vrod night Rod special, it has front faring, I have big (road king size ) saddle bags and I’m slowly upgrading it. I plan on getting the Mono hooligan air intake and a tune but I really need help with pipes, after watching the video I thought the best for performance is the guy from Ohio with the ground pounder, similar to the destroyer, is that correct

It saves a lot of weight and can add power with the right tuner but be prepared it’s loud!!!

Awesome video, thank you, I have the Bassini slip ons , they look great and sound great, but I do get a little blip while going slow, should I invest in a tuner, and if yes what do you recommend, thank you again, awesome video. 2014 V-Rod muscle.

I would invest in a powervision tuner and if you spend the money get it professionally dyno tuned with it. You will notice a substantial gain!! 👍🏼

I have bassani slips also. Run powervision and motohooligan super intake. Thing is a beast.

I have a 2016 vrod muscle White, like yours. I was curious to how you ran your cables to your Power Vision? I constantly have issues with the screen blanking out shortly after I begin riding. I know this to be a common problem, due to interference of wiring. Have you had any experience with this? Any suggestions how to fix it? Thank you

Anyone have issues with the fule send unit. Meaning the gas guage not working? Mine will go from half tank to empty. I now monitor milage. 2014 vrod muscle

Yes that is common. You replace fuel sending unit or count your miles ha

I own a 12 muscle. I had this problem, and had my dealer replace the unit. The next year it happened again... then I read where you could simply add some seafoam on occasion. That was five plus years ago. I haven't had a problem since.

Let the gauge go up before you start the bike. Also, I never use the kill switch.. never had the issue again.

I just picked up a 2012 VROD Muscle. I don't care about the top end. all I care about is low end torque. Will topless intake and slip-ons hurt the low end?

Congrats on purchase! No it won’t hurt it but after a tune you will get a bump in top end but very lil in low end torque.

I have the original mufflers off of my muscle but I only did slip ons so I still have my headers installed

So which exhaust is the quietest?

Stock ha but after that 2 into 2 will be the quietest.

Mine is the first generation with the 180 tire. Handles better and faster than the newer models

If you want more power wherever I am from vrod owners put superchargers or turbos

We got that a lot here too. Seen one make 300hp with a supercharger, crazy!

My main issue with the VRod is the lack of Torque at low RPMs,it's not often you reach 7-8000 rpm on a cruiser,,,125 HP is nice but 80-85 TQ at low RPMs is not sufficient for a cruiser

The V-Rod loves cruising at 5K and when you hit it that thing flies!
