Blake Keeffe started riding motorcycles when he was 18. He was working in the automotive industry and was getting burned out and tired of working on cars. He got a job at a small aftermarket shop for custom motorcycles and worked there for about a year before he was in a traumatic motorcycle wreck, where he had to be resuscitated.
After spending 3 months in the hospital, including a month in the traumatic brain unit, his outlook on life changed. He decided to sell everything he had in Washington and attend Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 26.
While in school, Blake took advantage of instructor knowledge, arriving to class early and staying late to learn as much information as he could. Today, he works as a motorcycle technician for Harley-Davidson and says he's grateful for his MMI instructors who helped remind him to pursue his passion.
The curriculum at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute is geared for all students interested in joining today's motorcycle workforce. Enrolling into MMI does not require previous motorcycle mechanic experience. Our students span from having zero prior motorcycle knowledge to those who come from a family of mechanics looking to further their abilities.
