Unfortunately, the cops' hands are tied because they require proof. There is enough instances where women fake being abused and lie about it which makes it harder for women who are actually abused.

It's not the cops, we have a messed up Judicial System that gives the criminals more protection than it gives the victims!

As a survivor who never told anyone what was happening at the time this song always makes me tear up no matter how many times I hear it! Besides that it’s an absolutely beautiful song

I just wanted to let you know I am so sorry that you had to endure such horrendous abuse and I wish I had known you at that time in your life because there are signs and they are very noticable so your friends really should have noticed and stepped in but I know that some people don't want to get involved but I am not one of those people! I truly detest woman abusers and I have and always will do whatever it takes help any woman out the hell she is living in! Women are one of the most beautiful things that GOD created and should be treated as such!

@@christypriest30 I am so happy for you, and I realize that the effect of what happened to you is something that you have to battle every day of your life because My wife battles with it every second of every day! I just wanted you to know that there are men out there that are willing to love you unconditionally and willing to try to show you love and support in any way they can. I am glad that you are doing well. It just gets me fired up when I see women that has had to live in Hell because of a piece of crap that was supposed to love you and treat you like the Queen that you are!
