Great comparison, They sound the same. I’ve had the S2000, S3200xl and the S3000xl and they all sound the same.

A scsi2sd set up video would be great. Just picked up a v6 to install in my S3200.

I use SCSI2SD with my S5000 and it works well. I have a 256 gb SD card partitioned up into four drives.

Still kept 2 x 3200XL's great machines

Would be better between the XL and non XL as the belief is the XLs don’t sound as good. Then to the 1100 which has the fabled “eight-point windowed sinc interpolation” over linear. Would love to see if that’s all snake oil.

Hey steve , good q, Thw qu32 is a phat mixer man, although its digital it sound as good as my mackie!

3200 xp sounded like it had a bit more dynamics, deeper lows and also the time stretched snare and rack tom samples sounded more up front. The 3000 slightly less dynamics by comparison and almost a bit too smooth. Niceness.

Quality video big up. Question about the s5000 I fitted the scsi2sd to mine but use recycle to send break programs to s2000 then open up in s5000. Save to wav and off I go. If I load img.akai to the sd card doesn't read img files. So if I get a hxc for the s2000 how would I transfere the old img files to be read in the s5000 would like to do away with the old floppys once a run out. Thanks peace
