Man this was a god sent ! I’m running MacBOokPro with Serato connecting to Numark Mixtrack Platinum Pro. Serato couldn’t see the controller at all, did the suggested fix and it came up immediately. Thanks again

Just bought a Pioneer DDj sx 3 and having this issue if not connecting. Going to try this tonight. Running an older version of Mac. Hopefully this works! 😂

Ah I thought I had found the answer. So frustrating it did not work for me. I am mainly a Traktor user but looking at Serato to do more VJ'ing. I can plug in my controller in Virtual Dj and boom recognized no problem. I can also do in in Djay Pro AI no problem...but Serato...nothing and no midi tab showing up either. I did this and it still did not show up in the midi window new configuration which is odd because I just closed Serato anb opened up Virtual Dj and then Traktor and Djay Pro AI and still all recognized ...not an issue just with Serato. Thankfully I am on the Pro trial for 30 days. At this point it should not be this difficult and have scoured and spent days trying to figure this out. I may just focus on Virtual DJ at this point when your video seemed to be the answer and so many said it worked for them. Many great thanks for the video, just really wish it had worked for me and my NI Maschine Jam.

Gratitude for your quick reply! Suffice to say, I am currently using version 2.5.7 released September 2021 and your video is from 2017. So although it is not the most recent version it is newer than your video and would figure it would be such a problem to get working when other programs there is nary the problem. I am running on Mac OS and did not see anything on Serato's archive website for any drivers to update. And on Seratos Driver support page there is nothing for Native Instruments and on Native Instruments there is nothing for the Maschine Jam on MacOS showing as needed only for Windows. Now still at a loss and yours seemed to be only video that had a seemingly simple fix that worked for all the commentors, just not sure how not an issue with other software and only Serato is the issue. @@bboymac84

@@djom-amari 1st off the Maschine Jam wasn’t made for Serato! You might be able to map it maybe. That’s the 1st issue. Traktor and VDJ will work because they are open for any controller. Serato is very exclusively native to Serato certified hardware! 😩🤷🏾‍♂️

Got it and thanks. I do not ever recall seeing them say they were only exclusive for their controllers esp if they offer midi mapping. But I guess that is the answer. Thanks so much for this. I guess I will let my 30 day trial run its course and cancel now since I will not be able to use it with my preferred controller. Although I have been keeping a good eye on getting something in the Denon Prime family in the near future which I know some of them do work with Serato. Again, thanks for your time knowledge. I've just been with Traktor the last 10 years so guess I thought with the shift to so much digital there were greater options to try things out.@@bboymac84

I bought the supposed 'Serato ready' Hercules DJ Jogvision controller. Serato won't pick it up at all. Bizarrely enough, Virtual DJ picked it up immediately .. self configured. Just installed it and it worked so using that now.

not working for me. on the Denon dj sc5000c prime it loads up when I start up Serato but on the decks it says please connect Serato DJ hardware. I enter that info on google and everybody keeps leading me to the something you did but it's not working for me.

But when I try to use it with my Mixtrack Pro 2, it won't get out of Serato play to recognize the controller. I checked my update, and it says that I'm using the latest version of Serato DJ Pro. I reloaded Serato DJ Lite and can get the mixtrack pro2 to work with that, but it still asks me to buy DJ Pro.

Hi - I tried this with my new Macbook Pro (Mojave). I'm still having issues connecting my NS6 to the Macbook. I also bought a new USB cable that connects directly to the Macbook vs through a hub. Any ideas on how to fix? I'm desperate!

DJ Lucia Love had the same issue bro. Honestly, I think the drivers on various hardware do not correspond to the new version of Mac OS. For me, I wanted to run a pioneer S3 mixer with, with 2 turntables, and serato DJ pro. Not sure when the drivers for your numark were last updated but the drivers and firmware for the pioneer djmS3 (which was supposed to unlock the ability to use Serato DJ with my DVS) was last updated on the Pioneer website. But if you know the tech support people it’s always your fault, there is something you did wrong, or did not configure something correctly. Guy even told me to try another computer after I asserted I had done everything correctly. Hope it works out for you.

DJ Lucia Love sorry I meant to say the firmware and drivers were last updated on the pioneer site like in August 2018. But again, of course they alluded to the fact I didn’t download something correctly, didn’t configure my audio midi in my Mac correctly, needed a different lap top, there was an issue with an rca wire, and my turntables and the way I connected my wires from the mixer and lap top in correctly.

The ns7 is discontinued because it’s so old. So you have to get the driver from numark website.

Didn't work for me:( got an sr2 everything worked fine with serato for a week then boom serato started disconnecting the sr2 after 10 seconds, updated everything, connected serato service center, they couldn't help, the sr2 shows up on my midi audio setup on my mbp, but it just stopped working with serato thats weird, those are products that should work together lol, luckily my sr2 works great with vdj, on the same MacBook with the same drivers....i always hated serato without working with it, now i got a reason to hate it more

Go to spotlight and on your Mac computer and type in audio midi setup. Click window and do a default in the drop down menu. Make sure your Serato controller is plugged in as your doing this process. Make sure you have the latest Serato and the latest firmware for your Serato DJ gear.

Noel Conrad you can map midi hardware on Serato now but you have to have the latest Serato and Serato play enabled. Click on MIDI to map your hardware and Serato should recognize it

Noel Conrad also be aware that Serato needs a way to get your sound to the speakers. So you may need an audio interface by Serato certified or just plug your computers headphone jack to your speakers or mixer

Ok I found it in device manager... Numark pro 3 was already there abd when I open serato DJ, I still have audio connexion failed and impossible to see all decks. This video did not help me. I am sorry. Glad it did for some others ;-)

ive just bought the numark platinum fx and brand new dell windows 10 laptop, downloaded the serato lite music files on everything plug the thing in just lights up and flashes all over on the system like a demo light mode... then bottom left hand side of my screen it says loading platinum fx will take a min.:: then says failed.. am seriously stuck any help please

Connecting the esx1 via midi. If it reads it you should see it as generic midi and hit a button and the midi signal should show. If so go midi map it.

i have m-audio 2×2... and same issue here... hardwere nit connected and now i can't replace this product.... and waste of money.....

I have everything thing on the driver. But, when I download the Serato DJ Pro and when I drag the software to homepage. It had Serato DJ Pro Logo with a circle and a line inside the circle. But, I could download Serato DJ 1.6.3

Hey man I thought this would solve my issue but it didn’t. I have an Allen & Heath XONE DX 4 channel controller that came with Serato ITCH software. It still works but there’s no more updates for itch. All the searching I’ve done says the fix is get Serato DJ Pro and I have done that. Though I can use the controller with the old ITCH the newer DJ Pro is what I want because it can do so much more but it doesn’t recognize the controller. Even after the steps in your video. Any ideas ?? Anybody out there in same situation?

Update firmware and hardware and update Serato

I get no decks I should have everything connected correctly but there is still an audio failure happening what else could it be help!

spacemen200 make sure to update Serato to the latest update. Update firmware of your controller. Make sure your using the usb that came with the controller.

Hi Ben ive just bought this system and brand new dell windows 10 laptop, downloaded the serato lite music files on everything plug the thing in just lights up and flashes all over on the system like a demo light mode... then bottom left hand side of my screen it says loading platinum fx will take a min.:: then says failed.. am seriously stuck mate

Good Information! Question, I use a ddj sz, but I attempted to use my friends ddj-1000's, so I plugged in thinking serato would automatically pick up the controller but it didnt. So I went to serato and downloaded the controller and still nothing. You think its because I need to update the hardware?

Pure Entertainment upgrade your Serato, make sure you actually own Serato. Make sure you have the drivers for that controller on the pioneer website. Update the controller firmware too.

@@bboymac84 Thanks! Luckily I found out that it's a delicate process. I have to restart my computer disconnect the Roland, then connect it after it's on, then I load Serato. In exactly that order it worked.

AJ Angel yea that happen to me. I stopped using computers to DJ. Use the Dj or Sc5000M. Computers aren’t best for DJing. Trust me

sorry this didn't help. i just got a second hand akai mpkmini and its not showing in serato (at all checking firmware and full upgraded serato). haven't found a link to help me yet

The Akai mpk mini is not serato certified that’s why it’s not showing up. You must use a serato certified interface. That’s why I use Traktor Ableton or anything other than serato. Serato is limited to only Serato hardware.

it didnt seem to work for me. it still says "hardware disconected." i followed all steps.

Make sure you bought Serato and not just using Serato enabled hardware.

If your product needs you to buy serato then buy it so you can use serato. Done

You can get itunes for windows. Just make sure its the version of itunes you can convert to .mp3 files

What about for windows
