Hardtop hardware removed! What are all those screws holding in? Bugeye Build Episode 146

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

All the metal bits are removed from the Frogeye's hardtop. It turns out that some of the filler put in by a previous owner was held in by a combination of sheet metal screws and one long wood screw!
Just a quick disclaimer... this may not be the "correct" way to do this job but it's how I did it with what resources I have on hand.

Each time I use my Milwaukee impacts I am more impressed with the tool. Impressive use in the video as well. Such great tools.

Thanks Bill. I quite like them. They actually belong to one of my boys. I have use of them while he's still at home!!!

Looks like you're going to be doing some fibre-glass work. I don't think it's too hard and, no doubt, there is a heap of info on-line. I guess we are still going to be entertained with the re-build for a little longer.

That's the plan. Along with the rebuild videos there will be some upgrades and some driving videos!

Well, that was a project. Bought my hardtop from #Bugeyeguys. They sent all the hardware and molding. I just needed to repaint and assemble. Not much of a video on my build. Good luck!

such an intimidating build, and I know it'll be very nice when completed, still intimidating. It's too bad my hard top is for exactly the Spridgets that I don't have. I'll have to find someone in the club who has one and wants a hard top.

what hardtop do you have? I'm currently looking for a replacement as mine is custom and came with the car and unfortunately doesn't use the standard window card shape. The rear of the cards are angled back, it looks great but I can't find the hardware to fit

Thanks Ken. I have done a little bit of fibreglass work in the past so I'll count that as a plus!
