Everyone believes she is corrupt. I do too, as a matter of fact, that all politicians including her are corrupt. That aside, she has repeatedly answered his questions and he repeatedly ignored her answered and posed the same questions again and again. I must admit she had nerves of steel to sit there and call him out on the purpose of his interview without even raising her voice.

I am watching this interview in 2023 and surprised to see what a strong lady she was. I believe most of the people of my age group who are in their 30s and particularly from north India were never came to know about such a wonderful women who absolutely created history in the world of politics dominated my men.

I am from Hyderabad and I remember watching this interview on TV in an office cafeteria while working in Chennai in 2004. This interview greatly influenced me. I remembered this interview for so many years and here I am watching again in 2018. She is brave, self controlled and look at the way she retorts to media questions. Hats off to her.

Will you be able to remember all the things you have studied till now? She did not look up to the paper to answer him for every question and ofcourse she might have forgotten some things that happened long back. It's a human nature that we cannot remember everything. He said that she was referring the papers. And he had prepared the questions which she didn't know. He can easily ask the questions. But to give the proper answer for any question, you need clear details too right. She was not taking papers everywhere which many politicians do nowadays. And he's trying to provoke actually. "Did you feel embarrassed?" These are the questions which you put forward to the CM. Not only CM, anyone even you or me. And out of curiosity, Did she ever reveal herself as a papathi as you strongly mention it? Please don't bring lame topics which are irrelevant to what we talk about.

I have seen so many hard talk interviews of great personalities but no one could spoke like this, her fluency in the English language, her style of articulation wow amazing and also impressive. and also heard that Jayalalithaa was a voracious reader of English books now I came to know how varocious she was......

He is so rude, he never allows her to finish her sentences.

I am one among of crores of tamilians respect amma's legacy and bravery lived as iron lady and there is no second thought on that.... At the same time Amma felt Vaiko is real threat to her in political journey till 2016 and its quite obvious which emanated in this interview.... Whether Karan was being mean or rude, it doesn't matter. The questions were political in nature, and not personal; that's what matters. The fact remains this kind of interview was possible back then. And it’s obvious that opposition party will throw dirt to the ruling party even if they are doing good for the people. Hi anon, Karan is not a good interviewer he is moderate. you must see many interviewer around the world far better than him.karan's interview is artificial he is not spontaneous he is always scripted (acting || performing).Karan is working for foreign company BBC . BBc is a dead broad casting network .

Kudos to both the persons. Both of them were truthful. And Karan was patient enough to put all the questions respectfully. Jayalalitha was brave enough to speak the harsh truth and stood for her rights. She answered all the questions. Didn’t run away saying Dosti bani rahe 🤪

He was himself continuously reading his notes and when she was seeing her notes he said you are reading from it, when he did the same while reading her statement she returned the favor to him it was like face palm. I must say I have not followed her so far but I will do so from now on.

My reply was to 'penchal reddy's attempt to make it look like Jayalalithaa had gotten the better of Karan Thapar in this interview, WHEREAS, the reality was that she got flustered and agitated at his hard line of questioning, even though she *already knew in advance* that tough, inconvenient questions would be asked during the interview.
