Simi, you made me feel that I was in the lounge with you both, quiet with my ears open. Your gentle probing and sharing of the anecdote of dumb charades is epic. It was quite obvious to me that you share a personal relationship going back years, and you both are, while comfortable in your skin, equally comfortable with each other. The other bit I liked was when speaking about old friends, and Ratan almost sheepishly admitted that he was not good at keeping in touch. All I could do was silently chuckle. Gosh, I just realized that this interview is like over two decades ago and yet there is a sense of the contemporary, not just in the décor but also in the words. Brava!!!

Yeah & nowadays people exploit lives of others by propagation of fake stories, news & gossip because they realised that it's easier to attract eyeballs by planting or repeatedly glorifying negativity or bad behaviour. Hosts like Karan literally feasted on the destruction of relationships in the industry as it made way for viral news and kept elevating the TRPs but in the process the Indian audience lost out on so many beautiful people and so many beautiful stories which needed to be told rather than who slept with whom and who's a virgin. This is the reason I miss people like Simi Garewal because there were so many good things to learn from the way she treated her guests and never made them uncomfortable, her English too was a delight to listen to and I saw her as my English teacher.😁

Im from Dadar Mumbai..we have very old and famous Parsi dominated neighbourhood here in Dadar named Parsi colony. so i have watched parsi diaspora closely since my childhood and all i can say is that Not just Ratan tata sir infact all parsi people are gentleman. they are highly educated, polite and trustworthy people. apart from Tata india has seen many other parsi businessman which include likes of Adi Godrej, cyrus poonawala, Pallonji mistry, Nusli wadia, Byramjee jeejobhoy et.al and of all these businessman there is not a single tainted businessman that greatness of parsi people..

i have watched this interview atleast 5 times and it never gets old. Such a lovely interview

what a beautiful interview..there wouldn't be another Simi garewal , and also there wouldn't be another Ratan tata.... pure class and elegance

Now he is 82 yrs old.. after some year he will be gone..but his legacy will stay forever..

Ratan Tata reached greater heights in his tenure. He never bragged about his achievements and accomplishments during his career. He is simple and down to the earth even today.

He was 60 years old when he recorded this interview ! Wow, that graceful smile, that radiant face ...... his charm really defies age! What a blessing and a truly blessed person 😁

Absolutely classy. Koffee with karan stands no where in comparison to the grace and the poise in this show.

Lolwut? It's ridiculous. It actually feels disturbing just how sickly sweet everything is. It's like I'm watching plastic alien people talk.

People who disliked the video probably are not aware of what actually simplicity, politeness, patience, calmness, etiquettes, manners are. Nothing can match with this episode. Neither in history and nor in future. Proud to say "Ratan Tata ji is an Indian".

He is very naive and humble person. He is a real living legend. Long live ratan tata.

It's not only a dignified interview but a lesson on how past lovers should behave as well. Simi Grewal and ratan tata have dated in the past, yet they look past each other without any animosity or residual romantic feelings. Thats how you respect each other and what you shared.

We can never forget what rattan tata has done for our country so much respect to this guy ❤

Truly, For Ratan Sir, i feel you are the one and only human being, with having all qualities of Maryada Purushottam Ram, Bharat Ratna deserves Ratna like you.

His grandmother has inculcated such high values in Ratan Sir ...The gentleman is epitome of highest qualities .. you name it ,he has it.. be it mesmerizing looks , great persona , encyclopaedia of knowledge, generosity, politeness ... There won't ever be anyone like you ..not even 5% of what you are.. it is as if God himself has a come for the upliftment of mankind

Imagine Ambani compared to Tata. You will only hear him talk about growth, money etc etc. But when Tata talks we know we are hearing a billionaire not for company growth and money but the same with inbuilt integrity, principle and values to achieve that. Sir you are a Ratan for this country with or without Bharat Ratna

@@souravghosh3140 Why are everyone after Ambani? He has given employment to 3 lakh people. He pays more tax than annual budget of few small states of India. He and his family have generated immense GDP for the nation, put India among global economic giants, brought down communication cost by 10 times, hasn't done anything wrong to anyone. But still people criticise him for no reason with utter disregard for their contribution. #shame

@@noice8674 Compare what he has taken from the country and what he has given to India along Ratan Tata. You will get the answer yourself. It is not to belittle Ambani contribution to India but it is much much less against Ratan Tata and we want him to contribute more for the benefit of society at large.

@@souravghosh3140 TATA group is almost 150 years old. They are well settled in the market unlike Ambanis who are just 40 year old business and cannot afford to go around throwing money in the name of philanthropy like TATAS and go bankrupt. TATA group is diverse and massive unlike Reliance. It's the business expansion which is important for Reliance at this point rather than large scale philanthropy which people like you won't understand. But still he is giving more than enough to the people. He even supplied millions of litres of Oxygen free of cost during second wave as well. Moreover if you had bought 100 shares of Reliance industries in 1990s, you would have been a millionaire today as well. That's how things work in the business. Don't expect others to spoon feed you. Spend small amount of money in those companies which will give you multi-bagger returns which according to me is a contribution by the Ambani to the people of nation as well. Ask yourself what you have done for the society before telling others what to do.

Why no movie or a biopic on this living legend? It's a misfortune for younger generation to be less aware about this great persona.

I'm a big fan of Ratan and the whole TATA Clan. No group in the world is like this. Too humane and have value system, that's why it's going for more than a century. Rkgupta

I'm sad that he's alone kash Ratanji ke bhi Biwi bache hote...

My grandfather migrated to jamshedpur back in early 1907 to work with Tata's.And now three generations of us having worked with Tata and lived in jamshedpur are indepted to this family.Tata's are a gem to this nation .And yes bharat Ratna for Mr Ratan please ,he is truly one of the gem 💎, a true Ratan
