Anyway, I have near constant back pain caused by too much sitting and too many deadlifts and so I decided to try getting a Thai massage, which is famous for quite literally stretching your body to its limits, to see if it could help. Fern, the proprietor of one of New York City’s only authentic Thai massage parlors and master Thai massage therapist, gave me much of the massage personally and I learned that she is quite strong. We tried many different types of Thai massage including stretching, back walking, deep tissue, and four hands.

Just one tip: don't haggle over the price, I've seen so many Indian tourists try this and it's super disrespectful.

One with a 'Happy Ending'?...
Whenever I have a really sore neck or back, I go get a Thai massage. They know how to fix it. I might have a high tolerance for pain, but I personally don't think it is unusually painful, except for a few very specific areas for me (calf muscles and inner thigh). When it does hurt it is definitely a "good hurt". It really helps range of motion, too.
@Lonesome__Dove

I usually get these stretches done at the end of the massage. Basically to wake you up. When I was in Thailand I got the only massage ever where I actually fell asleep. Easily the best kind out there if you find someone who knows what they are doing.

Thai massages are amazing. They look scary but they are incredible. The intense pressure forces blood to refresh all the muscles and the stretching is great for tendons.
