Hardboiled Eggs (Cosori Pressure Cooker)

How to make Boiled Eggs in the Cosori Pressure Cooker:
Add 2 cups of water to your stainless steel inner pot. Place the trivet/steaming rack in the pot above the water. Lay as many eggs as desired on the steaming rack up to the max line. Lock the lid and set the pressure valve to the sealing/locked position. Select the "Vegetable Steam" setting. Make sure the cook time is set to 7 minutes and that the Pressure is at level 6 (all 6 red lights should be illuminated.) Press the On/Start button. As soon as the cook time is finished move the pressure valve to the venting position and quick release the steam. Once the pressure is fully released open the pot and quickly put the eggs into an ice water bath and allow to cool for several minutes. Peel and enjoy!

    Thank you so much for making this! I'm late to the pressure cooker party, but tonight I was very lost on how to make the eggs, setting the pressure and temperature and all these crazy buttons lol. You explained everything very nice and clearly! I'll definitely be watching more of your videos in the future!

    Nice!! I learned how to make them in my instant pot from you! Nice to see how they turn out in this electric pressure cooker! I enjoyed seeing both cookers cook the whole chicken also!

    I've very happy with my IP DUO80 and DUO60. They do the same thing only for less $$.. I always enjoy your videos though..

    The amount of water I add is a function of how long I am going to set the time for. Since I only hard boil eggs for 6 minutes I only add 1/2 to 1 cup of water. I'm not really hard boiling the eggs, I'm high pressure steaming them and 1 cup of water will steam for about 20 minutes.

    My 8 quart Cosori pressure cooker keeps not hard boiling the eggs when I have been following exact directions. The eggs come out poached, any suggestions?

    I've been thinking of getting a Cosori in the 8 quart. Do you like it as much as the IP?

    It has a couple pluses and a couple of minuses... I don't like that you can't rest the lid in the handle like the IP DUO... Someone did mention though, that the 8qt has a hinging lid that doesn't come off completely... I haven't seen if for myself though... I also don't like that you can't buy replacement parts yet. I don't know that the Cosori company/customer service has as good/long of a track record as Instant Pot... All things to consider. Major plus is the ability to adjust exact temperature on the Cosori. You'd have to pay the high price for the Ultra if you want that feature in the Instant Pot.

    You read the manual and unplug it before doing a pressure release. Is that better than other electric pressure cookers that you dont unplug before doing a release? Quicker or safer?

    I'm not really sure why the manual says to unplug before releasing pressure. It seems like one of those things that the company recommends for liability reason but no one actually does it. lol!

    Why did you give up on the instant pot

  • @remnant24
    @remnant245 жыл бұрын

    There's no need to cut power once cooking is finished. I've left it on hundreds of times with the same appliance, to no adverse effect. I don't know why they have that in the manual considering there's a Keep Warm mode that takes over once cooking time is done. Lawsuit paranoia I guess.
