Watching you guys doing The Big Patch, remind me that is what I did (much smaller tires) for 47 years in USA, I like so much my hard work with many good co-workers and friends through many years of good memories. The ingenuity of these guys is extraordinary. First, with the bolts holding the patch on 😳. Then, that is removed. Then sewn up 😳. And then patched up to look like new (well, partly worn)😳. It's likely the rest of the tire will give up long before the patch does. I think the young man's apprenticeship will be a long one but very worthwhile. Excellent job. Fascinating to watch 😉👍🏻

Okay, something looks hinky here. I don't think the finished tire is the one they started with. In fact, at the end they rolled right past one that looked just like the one they were working on at the beginning. The tire at the end had wording on the side that was not there when they were covering the hole on the outside of the other tire.
начали с Триангла а закончили на Континентале:)))
That was a lot of hard work ! but they did the job properly and did a first class job. These guys really do go the extra mile ! - 10/10 👍👍👍

Hello AT men. It is easy to imagine you having plenty of customers. Especially these days. Recently a friend working a mine way up in northern Canada had to replace the tires on a massive Cat loader. A bit bigger than your video tires. The cost here was an unbelievable $12,000 per tire. Insane. So repairing them for a lot more use makes good sense. Good luck!

And with right tools…
These tyres are used on earth moving tippers, mainly in quarries where the potential for damage from rocks is enormous. Normally cross-ply rather than radial as the sidewalls are stronger. The cords that run from bead to bead to provide the structural integrity are rayon, not steel. Irrespective of how talented these guys are, there's not a chance I'd rely on those repairs although they probably do work. Speaking from experience in the tyre trade, having had an 11.22.5 x 20 tyre explode three feet from me while inflating it in a cage. I used to work for Dunlop, manufacturing tyres, Firestone selling them, and ATS fitting and repairing them. Had the British Coal contract for the tyres on machines that were operating underground a d they used to suffer major damage regularly. Couldn't risk any tricky repairs due to the risk of underground explosions.

What, you mean pussies who understand that you never carry out repairs on tyre sidewalls because they have a serious risk of failing again, and possibly killing someone? Yeah, fine - next time you get on a freeway, just close your eyes while you're driving, because only pussies drive with their eyes open.
After watching several of these types of videos I've determined that when something finally makes it to a trash pile or landfill in Pakistan there is nothing else it can be used for. I simply mean they have gotten every last ounce of usefulness out of whatever that item was. I'm not knocking these guys at all but I'm amazed at how they can repair absolutely anything. While a tire repair such as this one is done all over the world. So many of the other things they repair and the methods and tools available for them to use doing so are almost unbelievable. This tire would have been disposed of in the USA. Possibly ground up recycled but it would never have been allowed to be used on heavy equipment again due to the safety hazard of it failing in an explosive blast and killing or injuring someone.
