Interesting you couldn’t get the chrome. My short experience with HF warranty is that the old tool turns into a gift card towards something similar or better.

That is what sucks about harbor freight warranty. It's never consistent with all their stores.. It seems like the warranty is whatever the employee wants it to be at that time.

Love looking at tool at harbour freight!! Those earth quakes are decent!! Love looking at all there tool boxes as well,live the different colors!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Zero interest for 2 years with HF card. Bottom box was or is on sale.

I prefer the comfort grip since it fills your hand more but i do have doubles of all my ratchets in chrome too for smeary jobs

I have the US GENERAL 72 inch roll cab, hutch, and two of the series 3 side lockers. Beautiful boxes! I think if were to do it over again though, I'd get a 56 inch roll cab with a hutch, a 42 inch roll cab with a top chest and bolt them together. Then add 2 side lockers. Its about 3150 for that set up vs 3300 for what i have.

I recently bought the same ratchet. It was my first Icon purchase. I asked the cashier about the warranty and if a receipt was needed. She replied that since they have my phone number on file no receipt was necessary. Today's cash register receipts must be printed with vanishing ink like the spy movies because they fade and are illegible over time. As for my thoughts on the ratchet, I do like the comfort grip. Back drag is a little on the high side. Right out of the box, the flex head has some play in it. I tried tightening the screw but could not turn it any further. We'll see how long it takes for the head to get floppy and test their so called "hassle free warranty". I am having a premonition that a Harbor Freight manager will have a floppy flex head protruding from their backside.

Yeah they can get weak over time and you have to keep tightening the screw over and over.

Accurate. I find myself going to Harbor Freight to window shop REGULARLY. It's fun and awesome af! Thinking about picking up one of their Earthquake XT air impacts.

@EzTechJoe lmao, bro you ain't lying. In a most recent trip to HFT I went in for a pair of gloves and came out with some impact socket extensions, a 3gal vac, a bucket, and some zip ties.

I’m not a fan of the ratchets but there pliers and lights, sockets, and air hammer are something I can vouch for. I’m not a tool snob but love quality such as Koken, Mac, Cornwell, Capri, Astro etc but since the Icon line came up and tried there things I became more of a believer. Every time I do a warranty exchange harbor freight makes me pay for the warranty again it’s obviously a one time use warranty within the warranty period.

i thought it’s hassle free warranty, why do they need receipt or account? It states on the website that it is hassle free warranty, what if you receive the tool as a gift and need to warranty 🤷‍♂️
