Harbor Freight Mini Tire Changer

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today I explore a new tool I recently picked up, a mini tire changer. These can be picked up at your local HF for right at $35 with the 20% discount. This has a compact size and can mount right into your vise which is awesome.

You are the first video I've watched that has actually read the instructions and explained how to use the Installation tool the most correct way.; sadly as of March 2024 the price for this mini tire changer is $59.99...

I am getting my tire changer delivered today. I have three tires lined up for changing. Your video was very informative and I want to thank you for the time you took to fully explain the tire changer usage.

I picked one of these up from HFT about a year ago and haven't needed to use it yet but will be using it soon. Never thought about putting it in a vice, great idea, Tim. Thanks for the video. I'm now subscribed now. I will be watching for your future videos and go back to your older ones.

The aluminum cone should be seated directly on the rime to center it, then the two spacers then the nut.

Good instructive video. I would just make one suggestion..if your stool ever slipped, there's a good chance that you could impale your chest or crack your sternum if you landed on the long bolt sticking up. Not being a critic just after working on mowers tractors and two strokes for 40 years i have seen it all. Keep up the videos. Your informative and straight to the point and dont spend the first 15 minutes talking about how great your workshop is.. Thanks fir posting the video, any armature that watches it should now be able to change a lawn tractor tire.

You may want to invest in a locking air chuck if you do to many tires, then you can use 2 hands on the tire to set the bead.

Piece of junk. I was able to break the beads for 6 inch rim lawnmower tires. I was able to get one tire removed, but not the second one. Mounting the tires was horrible. Cheap iron tire iron bent. Save your money.
