Yeah I paid 99. For the jack , I needed it right away or I would have waited to get it on sale. They got me a couple times but I ended up getting most of my Bauer stuff on sale and my Hercules tools also. Wait til you get a free tool with the purchase of a battery and charger.

I was at my local Harbor Freight on 6/20/24 and spent $200.00 on these car jacks that you can move the car around in the garage. Then I saw this deal to get free tools. I belong to the club and called my local store and ask if I could get one of the tools and the guy said that I could not, I just told him I would return one of the items and then rebuy it. He told me that I could do this. Why not just give me the tool of my choice when I show you the sales slip for $200.00 plus tax.

Sorry sir but what you are trying to do makes too much sense. We can't have logical thinking around here. I agree with you, they should have just given you the tool. But that would be too easy wouldn't it?

Those are just regular prices. i have bought several of those aluminum 1.5 ton jacks for 59.95

Well, prices have gone up a lot lately so that price hasn't shown up for a long time. I haven't seen any jacks that low in many moons.

Do inside track members have to have coupons for the free tool

Yes, just screenshot the coupon from their website or on their app. I just had this discussion at my local store last week. They will not automatically scan any coupons at my store for ITC members, you have to show them the coupon and they'll scan it. They stopped having the coupons at the register also, so even if the cashier wanted to scan it, they don't physically have them there to scan now.

Not usually, but it doesn't hurt if you have it with you. Normally they will have coupons to scan for ITC members but what if the person at the register lost or can't find it? Then if you have a back up it will save you a lot of headache.

What is the best strategy for getting the best deal on this item? Should I wait for Christmas, or black-Friday or some other holiday for the best deal?

You may not need to wait that long. I will update you every month as to the new discounts that Harbor Freight offers for the ITC members. Just watch the videos and select the best deal for you when you are ready to buy. Black Friday is still several months away and they may not include the item that you want in that sale. Just because they have a sale doesn't mean that your item will show up at a discount.

@@ModernDIYProjects Thank you very much! Concerning that item being on sale - when I look for the last time this particular item was on sale - it appears that was 4 years ago - in June of 2020. That coupon provided a 20% discount on the item. But I don't believe HF has ever put that item on sale since then. So I am guessing my best opportunity would be when they have the next 10% coupon for anything in the inventory. I am assuming they have discontinued the 20% coupon for anything in inventory - do you know if that is true? If they are no longer offering 20% coupons for anything in inventory - that probably limits me to a 10% coupon for anything in inventory. Your advise is greatly appreciated!

The 20% off coupon hasn't been seen since last Summer. I wouldn't count on seeing that any time soon. Your best bet is a "NO Exclusions Coupon" weekend or some discount weekend when they put storage items on sale. Those are the biggest discounts right now. Let's see what they do for July 4th since that will be the next big sale. I'm thinking another "NO Exclusions" set of coupons. I'll post that as soon as I get them.
