Wow I was confused online.

I've been using the Gordon for a week. Heavy usage. My edc of choice at work was the Gerber Nxt but the knife and the lock suck. Bought a Bibury and used it for a couple of months. The Biburry is good but it's going to take forever to loosen up. I need quick one hand access. I saw in a review that Gordon used copper washers for smoothness. I have not been disappointed. I made a few small adjustments and some oil and it has been great. I use nearly every tool on a daily basis. The only disappointment is the Leatherman type 2D bit. The magnet retainer could be stronger. That bit has fallen out 3 times while in use. I can fix that. My Nxt has a great + driver. I haven't had to sharpen the blade. I keep a sharpener at work. Yeah. I use it everyday to cut paper, plastic, thin cardboard and shrink wrap. The gut hook is outstanding at cutting shrinkwrap off boxes. It saves some blade use. The Gordon is lighter than the Biburry. The diamond file is not as good but it works. The pocket clip is fine though it sits deeper in the pocket. The saw works better than expected. I'm not worried about the warrenty. I can't imagine how i would break it. You really should get it for a review. Its not as refined as the Leatherman or the Bibury but I think it's damn good for me. P.S. My tool of choice for work was the Skeletool but I needed more tools.

How will you fix the "bit?"

5cr15MoV is more a generic code for what the steel is made of and iirc is actually an EU thing. China just uses the designation to avoid confusion. The Mo isn’t M0 as it means Molybdenum. Essentially it’s identical to the leatherman 420HC. Edit: 440C steel is however superior to 5cr15MoV.

I've had one for several days now very nice tool. Don't hesitate for the price you can buy 3 for price of 1 wave. So regardless of the warranty if something happens outside of 90 days your still ahead. Feels real good in hand. But nothing feels as good as a Victorianox multi tool in your hand.

I'm usually a real prick about not buying stuff made in China.. but in this case the Leatherman made in Portland Oregon so screw it not much difference..

Paying three times as much for a product that is not clearly superior is a waste of money. I agree that Oregon is a dystopian mess worse than China now in some respects.

Man on my Leatherman I'm sure rust is a big deal and I may be more concerned if I had more of a problem but I always break my blades so I assume thwy are using different steel if it's 9 out of 10 now probably because of enough warranty claims

Nice video as always 👍 I think if I had to choose between buying a wave or a gordon multitool, I would always choose the wave because of the warranty and more important the reliability.

If you purchase the Gordon from Harbor Freight online it upgrades you to a lifetime warranty. I would still rather have a Wave but dang I could have 3 Gordons for the price of 1 Wave.

My bibury beats both..the gordon is just sad it's a 20 tool at best sorry 😊
