On every SXS forum I'm on the Badlands has been the main topic of conversation ever since HF launched them. Just based on the sheer number of Badlands being sold by HF, I'm guessing Pro Eagle is having to rethink their price point. About a year ago I bought the 911 Motorsports conversion kit for the 1.5 ton HF jack, and I think this new Badlands is probably going to put them out of business.

I don't know exactly how they will fair over time but from just using it to start with it's going to be what I would get. I need to find the forums and ask what everyone thinks of my video. If they agree or not

they certainly act like they don't want to adapt, either way they're going to be kicking and screaming. They added an infographic on the Kratos webpage filled with mostly misinformation/outright lies or irrelevant marketing points and then in the review section someone thinks the product would be better off with a handle lock, but the store owner feigns that there's no issues with maneuverability without it. Yeah, because giving up the swivel casters doesn't come with any pitfalls. They're going to eat some serious shit if they don't adapt quick. Harbor Freight's already got a great floor jack reputation due to the Daytonas. And this Badland has been cleaning house in every single KZread review/comparison. Pro Eagle probably praying Project Farm doesn't put their product up against the Badland and the CAT anytime soon, because that'll really do them in.

I’ve had my pro-eagle for a couple of months now and some kind of handle locking mechanism has been on my wish list the whole time. That locking mechanism is a game changer, I just hope pro-eagle offer some kind of accessory to compare.

My neighbor bought a Pro Eagle before COVID, he paid right around $300 for it, and that was with a veterans discount. Then all of a sudden they jumped to $600, when HF introduced theirs I paid $250 and it was one of the early jacks. I have been nothing but impressed, lifting my SxS, and my 4x4 it makes things much easier to work on.

This was a great review, to be honest I’ve been routing for the badlands to perform exactly as you showed. I think some people put a lot of concern into these things breaking but honestly it’s a floor Jack, they should last a decade with no issues! When it comes to a problem IF you ever had one harbor freight is almost no questions asked for an exchange and only a drive up the street to do it. Budget or not I think I’d rather have two badlands jacks over one pro eagle for the same price. One for the truck AND one for the garage!

The comparison everyone wanted to see. It would be interesting to see if any of the hydraulic parts are compatible for future repairs. Also I don't believe the Pro Eagle is made in the USA, so I don't really see a $300. advantage there but time will tell. The Pro Eagle does have a really good track record, so there's that. Being able to rebuild your jack is a big advantage as well, but for half the money, I think the Badlands is a no-brainer for those on a budget. And hopefully someone will figure out where to find the parts necessary to rebuild the hydraulics (HFT are you listening). This was the video I wanted to see before I bought one. Thanks!

I noticed that the extension on the Pro Eagle was quite a bit larger in diameter than the one on the Badlands which I would think might account for the difference in it's stored hight. I might get a Badlands jack because I use my floor jack outside every once in a while and it's a real pain in the rump moving it around out there. People will say “ components are better” on the Pro Eagle but I think that’s because the Badlands comes from HB. Don’t sleep on HB because they are pumping out quality products now. Their winches are designed by former Warn engineer.

They need wheel locks like a pin that you can push through the wheel into the body I almost lost a few fingers do to the wheels moving way to easy we use floor jacks to lift up RV slide outs as I was lifting a slide out the damn badlands jack moved backwards slamming the slide out downwards thank God I saw the f floor jack moving I will never use this badlands floor jack again I'll stick to the original floor jacks

The big difference is the quality of the components. Quality of the piston, the o-rings, etc. That will come into play over time. For the price difference, I too will go with the Harbor Freight jack.

It's hard to tell that in this short amount of time. Really have to consider how often you plan on using these too. Commercial or industrial use may wear them out quickly compared to me at home using it a couple times a month are always a factor

The plastic thing just holds the handle down during transport to make the packaging more compact. And yeah you’ll bend the shit out of that bar if you don’t pull it out first… That said they could have just added a second lock notch to the whole handle lock thing…

@@GrimRZR yeah that’s good and an extra few 100s in your pocket, definitely a cheaper alternative. But to each their own. What I have noticed in the videos is that the PE rolls much easier. I have the 2 ton and I’m kinda finding it annoying. ANY decline whatsoever it starts to roll. Not saying Horror Freight is horrible, but I too have their 3 ton aluminum jack and after a year of use, it doesn’t raise anymore. I’m constantly trying to fix it, which it irritates me.

Both made in China. HF's is equal, if not better. When it comes to offroad stuff, HF is NOT what it used to be. It's waaaaay better. Their Badlands Apex 12000 winch is better than a Warn, which is shit nowadays. And costs half of a what a Warn costs. There is something to be said about buying shit made gucci crap. I don't buy for the name. I buy it because it works and works well.
