As a Chinese citizen who lives in this country you should be thankful that liberals accepted your elders. The conservatives for sure as hell won't and don't. As a Canadian we aren't thankful for having such mass amounts of Asians and Indians in this country especially when your the ones incapable of accepting other new migrants. Real issues that have direct effects to your life are from the hands of municipal and provincial leaders. You should of used your time here educating yourself in capitalism and democracy and how the conservatives are only for the rich.

My Ukrainian family immigrated generations ago from Austria and I’m proud of that heritage and their contributions. We all came from somewhere. Whether you want to celebrate your own or not is your choice.

I love that Americans are watching Canadian politics more than ever before and use this platform to share their opinions. For decades we have lived side by side working in each others countries with similar values. Work hard play harder and often sitting down for a meal together having a fun chat. My experience travelling through the USA from Canada to Key West Fla has always been a highlight every 2 years and I have come across so many kind generous and helpful friends along the way. This is my view of our 2 countries and it's time to spread common sense values that help strengthen the family unit and bring more peace and love. We need to put an end to politics that divide and confuse voters on so many issues. It's time to make North America great again with common sense politics and bring down the cost of living to a more affordable price so we can once again enjoy travelling and relieve anxiety chaos and confusion. It's time to start enjoying life once again! This past decade has not been enjoyable.

I did my best, PP- but my pops is still a little skeptical that you can deliver on all the promises BUT you are still MILES and MILES AHEAD of our current dreaded leader. Chinese Canadians, mainly Taishanese from Guangdong province of China, who silently and humbly contributed in every way to make Canada a better place is embedded in the fabric of Canadian history. Before the last spike was put in the Canadian Railway in 1885, Chinese Canadians gave their blood, sweat and tears nearly half a century earlier to lay the tracks of the Trans Canada Railway. Before BC was even a province, Chinese Canadians built a Chinatown in Vancouver. During the Exclusion Act, Chinese Canadians volunteered to serve in both World Wars, with an elite division of SOE called Force 136 in WW2. Fighting abroad most Chinese Canadians returned home from the war only to be discriminated as a second class citizen, and now had to fight segregation and the war in their own country of Canada, they now called home, the right to vote and swim in a public swimming pool.
