Feeling hopeless today I thank God that I came across this sermon this evening. In my tribulation my heart again has found a place of rest; in the glory of Jesus in this my momentary affliction.

An explosion of biblical expositon..."Afliction drive the roots of joy in hope of the glory of GOD..." Amen!

This is so beautiful. What is the Christian Life all about? We spend every day Falling in Love with God!!! Pain and hardships help us to reach our goal witch is to be like Jesus,, our Blessed Lord God Almighty!!! Amen!! Be in love with the cross friends, kiss the rod, the dicipline from our loving Heavenly Father for Jesus sake. Most important thing, choose Christ above all and he will be your ALL.

I agree- what an amazing sermon. - I so long for a church where we could receive this sort of teaching- John piper humbles me- he also lofts my spirit so that I focus on jesus and the gospel and the hope that we do have. I know it’s hard to always hold onto this in the day to day living and working however it is the truth and thankfully we can access desiring god and learn to grow. Thank you John piper. What a wonderful ambassador you are for our faith

As a Buddhist Teacher I find so much joy in Christian virtue May you all find endless blessing. Please take only joy in my words, and refrain from judgement as I would not wish the consequences of stealing the right to judge from God upon you. Only his endless unconditional love joy forgiveness and grace. To me you are my great brothers and sisters in devotion. I would tell you as many Buddhists would judge you as Christian’s will me, but the truly in spirit see only the greatness of the lords work even in greatest darkness, seeing virtue regardless of its source and taking supreme joy in it. I take joy in your virtue for it is evidence of the truth and worth of spiritual life in all its tribulation. Be good to your brothers and sisters in devotion if you can if it does not offend your beliefs, peace and blessings love and joy to you all.
