Well, I got 2 hubs, but one is a 9 bolt and one is a 10 bolt and it's on a 14, you'd have to check the axle size

It’s a real nice tractor. I tried a 986 just like that but I didn’t like the way it rode. Only tractor I’ve had sorta like that was a 5088 but that shifted on the right side not the left. 88 series seemed to have a better shift set up besides the transmissions being bad. I’m gonna stick with 56 and 66 series bc I’d have the transmission all messed up on an 86 😂

It rides better than my 7710 mainly because it's a longer wheel base.

The farmer that I worked for in high school and for a few years after part time bought an 886 that looks like your 986. He had an Oliver 1650 with the over and under transmission(actually it was a Cockshutt that was painted in Oliver colors) that he traded in for the 886 back in the early 90s that he bought from Clymer Farm Supplies. I ran every tractor that he had including a White 2-105. He like many farmers in this area milked cows then quit farming back in 1996 when dozens of farms in Northwest Pa either stopped milking cows or quit farming all together in the mid to late 90s.

The 886 just has a different motor. For the most part they share most parts. The power train is the major differences.

@@Mad_Farmer912 He had a 4 bottom Oliver plow like yours with a 5th bottom added on that he pulled with the 2-105. Right after he bought the 886 he had me plow with it and it handled 5 bottoms ok. The 886 had really good tires on it at the time though and 4 bottoms would have been better suited for it.

I think the axles are different, I'm almost positive you have half moons on axles. My 14 has the wedges

@@steveketchum9836 there are two half moon clamps on each wheel. I've had issues with breaking the hardened studs used to tighten them. I've had to use grade 5 bolts and they seem to handle the stress without breaking.

IH put 34’s on some 86 series. We have a 966 and a Friend of mine has a 886 that came factory with 34s.

Biggest issue I had with 34s is several pieces of equipment I couldn't jack down low enough to swing the jack up
