Thank you SO much!
In this episode, Hannah gets tested to find out if she is a carrier of spinal muscular atrophy. We recorded the moment her doctor gives her results because this is a pretty big moment for us. If she is a carrier, there’s a 50% chance our children will have SMA. If not, there’s virtually no chance that they will inherit the disease.

GenesisTheDawg Two people without down syndrome can have a child who does. Two people without cancer can have a child who does. Two people who have all their limbs can have a child missing one. What an idiotic idea, they’re both loving people whose children, regardless of illness, will be lucky to have. Unlike an ignorant person like you.

@GenesisTheDawg You're horrified? why? Because your life is so bad you can't see people who are happy and in love! you're a guy with no one who looks at you like they look at each other. I'm guessing you just wanted to write something to make yourself important, because you must not seen the video first as it shows they were looking at their future and the risk that Shane's SMA would have on them in the future. I pray that one day when you do find someone to make a future with that that future doesn't bring you a child with any difficulty because I think that child would not have a good life with someone like you as a parent.

as a child of a parent with severe disability, you are assigned the role of caregiver from birth, that is the truth. and as an adult, you become a very servile individual due to your upbringing as a caregiver since birth. FYI: if you are not a child born with a parent with severe disability, you have not say in this matter.

@Plum Milk What I and many many *many* other people wouldn’t GIVE to have a good relationship with their fathers. There are so many people who don’t have fathers who are present and supportive. At the end of the day the fact that Shane cannot throw a ball with the kid or help him do chores isn’t going to mean shit to the kid, and isn’t going to impact who the child becomes. What’s going to matter is who Shane is, how he supports and loves his kids. Your ignorance can go elsewhere.

Actually the complete opposite will happen. You see, when i child is exposed to true love and how to love one another and not judge and to see how to take care of one another a child will also do that. So no, their kids won't suffer. They have just as much of a chance as anyone. They might even be better at compassion and kindness because of their parents true love.
